Um, no, Kia is most definetly owned by Hyundai. In the late 90's, Kia filed bankruptcy and Hyundai bought a majority stake in them at that time. (That's exactly the reason their quality has improved so much... they share engineering with Hyundai's coutnerparts.)
From what I understand, Silverlight functionallity is being rolled into WinRT. With Windows 8, WinRT takes care of the exact same things that WPF and Silverlight did and brings to the table the inclusion of HTML5/Javascript.
No functionallity will be lost with this and it's not much of a transition for developers either, as their code is directly portable to WinRT.
Casio (http://www.superslimprojector.com/) and Microvision (http://www.microvision.com) are both going to be pissed when they find this out, considering that they both have had laser powered projectors on the market for some time now. Just imagine their faces when they find out after all the years of research and development and even several years on the market that their projectors really don't work. I think it should be a crime for someone to change the rules of physics after someone has successfully started selling product... don't you think?:-)
I'm not sure where you got your information, but that is patently false. The Kindle 3G has always had the ability to browse the web over 3G and it was clearly allowed by Amazon. In fact, the search features, etc,. automatically will use it when searching via "Google" or "Go To The Web" options are selected. If their terms forbid that, then why would their software even allow it?
The current Kindle Keyboard 3G (which is the same device just with the word "Keyboard" added to the name) has it listed as a feature.
Yes, it has a SIM card on the inside... but it will only work with these specific Kindles... not other devices. But you can browse all you want with the browser... no fees.
Perhaps you should read it a bit further... "...in time of War or public danger;" I would say his actions are clearly fall under the public danger clause and prevening further danger justifies his elimination by any means necessary. His sancutary in Yemen has made it impossible for our forces to capture or arrest, or even serve warrant and, as such, has therefore left us no other option but to eliminate the threat by force.
Bill
You kind of missed the point, didn't you? Try reading the above again and figure out WHY someone would accept a few $20 coins for a car. Maybe if you read it again... maybe a couple times... you might catch on.
Microsoft's Surface uses a technology called PixelSense, which can scale to any sized device simply because each pixel also contains an infrared sensor.
Microsoft ended all support for Visual Basic 6 in 2008
Hmmm... That is simply not true. The Visual Basic 6 Runtime is STILL included with Windows 7 and is STILL supported by Microsoft and will be for at least the next 10 years. The Visual Basic 6 IDE is no longer supported, but that doesn't prevent your apps from running, nor does it force you to upgrade them to.NET.
That's not a good example, as the Terrafugia is allowed to be driven on the road according to NHTSA. It has now been cleared for air and road use due to certain exemptions it has received specifically due to those challenges of making a dual use vehicle.

Actually, that code worked perfectly!!!
Bill
Hmmm... please read my comment again. :-)
Yep... the last thing you want in a battle is for it to be a fair fight. Because if it's fair, you could lose!
Bill
Agreed... it also mentions specifically in the last paragraph that they are still evaluating the F35, which wasn't a part of this contract.
It sure would be nice if Slashdot editors started reading the articles they're posting about.
Bill
Um... iOS does have exploits... where do you think the ability to jailbreak comes from?
Heck, they even have simple web sites that will do it for you just by clicking on a link! If that's not an easy exploit, then I don't know what is!
Bill
If by stealing you mean us paying $100 per barrel from the OPEC oil barons, then yes, maybe we should stop!
Bill
Actually, if you're logged in you can simply click the "Download Directly" link right below the "Download Now" button.

Oh wait... what did you say?
Bill
"The only real defense against getting robbed is to not have anything worth stealing."
Um... isn't this a perfect example of that not working???
Bill

Amazon's 3G feature was free with no roaming... it also worked world wide.
Bill
How does your interpretation change anything? The public was in danger... the military removed that danger... case closed.
Bill
Man I wish I could mod you up... I'd push all the way to 10+!!!

Perhaps he did it intentionally, just to confirm his diagnosis about you.
Seems to have worked!
Bill
1. Buy coins at face value. ...
2. Sell coins at content value.
3.
4. Profit!
You get it??? 3 is irrelavant!!! It's awesome and I finally understand every single other post that includes it!

Why... when it's built by you for your own personal use, patents and copyrights don't apply.
Bill
The F22 is loud as hell too, but you can't hear it coming until you're dead!

Here is the news release on it: http://www.terrafugia.com/news_media.html
