It was this Robotech type FPS for PSX, where you play the role of Ivan. All I remember are barren hills with occasional enemies. What makes Ivan so crazy, you ask? Well, every now and then, he (you) goes "crazy," and all the controls are reversed!

someone please explain why this is funny, or at least what the picture means. or is it just the fact that there was a picture?
The key difference is that doing so in Python doesn't require recompilation and relinking the app (it currently requires relaunching the app, but that is an artificial barrier).
See, I thought you could even add Objective-C classes while the program was running, as it's totally dynamic.
As for the productivity gains python creates, I think that's a pretty well known advantage. woohoo python!
The ability to subclass and extend ObjC classes with Python means that one can build Cocoa applications that can have their classes reloaded and redefined on the fly. I.e. it can greatly reduce the "run-compile" part of the "run-compile-edit" loop that developers tend to be stuck in.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Objective-C allow this as well? Or is it similar, but not quite the same?
It goes with out saying that it is very very cool to have the ability to take existing Python code and make it work with a Cocoa GUI.
The Java VM was designed to run Java while the CLR was designed to be language agnostic. The fact that C++ can run on the CLR is a testament to this fact.
The CLR is *syntax* agnostic. Not really the same thing.
Microsoft has made a habit of calling everything it is releasing lately ".NET". If it infected Visual Studio, would it be a.NET virus? Face it, the MS definition is purposely nebulous, masking the fact that.NET is a Java clone.
The real difference is that CMYK's colorspace is much smaller.

It's also becoming part of the J2EE spec in a slightly altered but hopefully interoperable form.
Sun is calling it JavaServer Faces. Principal Struts developer Craig McClanahan is on the committee.
so wait, you're telling me the slashdot moderation system decided postmodernism is a bunch of garbage?

When you're short on disk space and you attempt to start Weblogic, it will log a reflection exception that says
"Error while verifying magic: expected EOF"

PySoulseek must be made to run this way.
it's probably not much, since they use mod_gzip
linux users rejoice when a game is ported to their machines.
uh, so do mac users.
Shouldn't that be "Maxtor has once again shown the world that we need more porn in order to fill the available space"?
No, I think it's supposed to be "Porn expands to fill the space available for its storage."
Quark is one example, but even if quark gets its act together...
Which they won't, since they fired their most senior software architects right before OS X was announced. Oops.

I use Allaire Homesite on Windows 2000. It has a preview area that uses IE.
It would be possible to make Windows 2000 without IE, but applications expect that service to be provided.
