    Minor quibbles:
The "admin" account given by default is not the equivelant of root. It is a normal nonpriveledged user who has the ability to use sudo. Read and write priveledges to the /Applications/ (a place for GUI .apps) is also given, to make mac users feel at home. You cannot drag the system folder to the trash or delete /etc without giving the root password via sudo.

There are many tutorials on the web on how to move the swapfiles to a dedicated partition. However, according to some Darwin hackers on Omnigroup's Mac OS X-Talk list there is little to no speed gain unless that swapfile is on a seperate physical disk.

I think what would be smart would be to hide the filesystem to the user, presenting them with the blank slate of your /home. That way, when you first install, you will have *no* files visible to you, only the ones that you've created, that way, the user will have supreme control over their work, instead of knowing that there is a hierarchy of files beyond their control... Eh?

No, on a 4 point scale. Many high schools allow for A's in Advanced Placement courses to count as a 5 instead of a 4, because they are much tougher classes (ostensibly) than the courses taken by "regular" students. That way it is possible to also get a >4 GPA.

that this will be thought of as some sort of "generic windows" by many retail buyers? People would equate "Lindows" with those fruit loops clones you see in these large bags here in the U.S. on the bottom rows of supermarkets; an imitation brand. Sure, it may not be in actuality, but just as people know to look for the "Advil" label instead of the "Sam's Club Pills" they may see that there is no Microsoft label on the box, and dismiss it as some knock-off. Personally I couldn't tell at first glance from the screenshots that this wasn't windows, and I fear that many consumers won't either unless it changes its name, or changes the theme on the desktop a bit.
