I got a nice 1920x1200 widescreen monitor and it's definately the GPU keeping me back. With antialiasing I'm looking at 35-140% improvement here, with an average of maybe 60%. I'd say that's pretty impressive. What CPU/GPU do you have? (You are running the games at native res?)
