I should also mention that, if he were that concerned about uptime, he should've hired an assistant for you a long time ago. What would've happened to his business if you'd gotten ill or were otherwise indisposed? You're going to need to be firm with him because I think he's taking advantage of you.

  2. training on Going Beyond the 2 Week Notice? · · Score: 1

You ought to tell your boss that he needs to hire one or more developers ASAP so you can get them properly acquainted with the codebase. Apart from that, 4 weeks notice is more than generous, and you should demand a high rate for any kind of further support; after all, it could potentially damage your ability to work for your new employer.

Wouldn't work well, because once a failure occurred you'd have to stop everything, then get the bad chip to the right working state before proceeding further, which would be a rather difficult task, especially if the fault caused a particular state to be impossible.

Please remember that this is the same industry that came up with the 80486SX when they were having lousy yields on 80486DX chips. If these processors had any utility, trust me, they'd find a way to make money off 'em.

The only thing I don't like about this system is its need for an active sun-tracking device in order to pump light into the fibers. I've been trying to fit my brain around a way of performing the same task passively, but it's difficult. Even if it's only 10% the efficiency of an active system, I'd still prefer it, even if it wound up costing a bit more, because I'd rather not have something that was complex and might break down.

Use "http://tracker.degreez.net:8080/announce" as the announce URL. Click "File" and select Batman_Net.mov as the file. Then hit the "create torrent" button. It'll create a torrent file. Post it up on the net, and then run it, and save over a complete copy of the .mov file. It'll give an error 'til I authorize it on my tracker, but I'll do that ASAP, and the software will automatically retry.
