    Here's why, most likely, they always will.

    Most likely? Well, that's not exactly unequivocal, is it?

    "Most likely" sounds like just the right place for astonishing science to (just possibly, probably not, but who knows?) surprise us.

    And I say this to point out one simple fact: there have been claims of cold fusion, but none of them have ever stood up under the scrutiny of the above definition of good science.

    Disclaimer: I didn't read the article, but this bit jumped out at me.

    Crazy claims of a particular phenomenon never stand up under scrutiny - until the first one does. Yes, cold fusion has been a long time coming, and may never, but just because no-one's got it right it yet is not a great reason to say never.

    will no doubt be the refrain of some. Well, what's wrong with informing those who don't know? Or are we still supposed to jealously guard the Secret Knowledge?

    An inclusively written or well-linked summary is not an insult to anyone's intelligence or level of knowledge.

    I don't see anything about "clear" in the linked article's linked article. I'd think opaque ones would be a lot more popular.

    Might be worth pointing out that they don't just squirt poop into a capsule. It does at least go through a bit of processing and filtration first.

    and is certainly a lot harder than for the very limited Western alphabet.

    Just a guess, but maybe Chinese writing is a lot more consistent between different people. The complexity of the characters probably means they have to be drawn quite precisely to be readable.
