Anyone care to use the method with RFC1149 Avian Carrier Protocol, namely Using Ping to determine Speed of Flight!
I recall there were some guys who actually implemented it. However, although some still teach it, it's not too commonly implemented in the USA nowadays, since the FBI think it's a threat to national security.

And we europeans sometimes say the inch system is weird.:-)
You might wish to try Tibia. It's a free MMORPG, with some extra features if you wish to pay. If you pay, you can create guilds and get your own house for example. Otherwise, you can only join guilds, and be allowed entrance on paying members houses. The game is looking something like this. Lots of creatures available for all difficulties too. They should keep you busy. The server also has quests you can take, and there are a number of separate "realms" for you to play on.
I guess the same thing is happening with Star Wars fan films, but I don't think LucasFilm is doing anything special against them either for the same reason.
A re-encode to XivD or something could destroy such things unless the watermarking is really persistant. Kinda like how poor traditional watermarking would probably work on audio tracks since they're usually compressed to mp3's.
OK, I'll hereby remember that jokes about moons creating continents is considered funny, for some strange reason.:-S

If they thought that then they wouldn't even know what an Athlon XP was. People at that level of stupidity buy Dell's, HP's, etc. and would get an Intel chip (and if they had a choice of CPU, and understood it, then they wouldn't be buying branded PC's in the first place).
Actually, people at the level where they think an Athlon FX works better with a GeForce FX would probably go for an Athlon FX. That's kinda my point, but perhaps you're right. At least I hope so, since I wouldn't like to see AMD gaining anything on riding on the success of other brands.
Doesn't this debunk the theory that Australia is a moon that fell from the sky and became a continent?
According to the most common theories...
Australia was part of Pangea just like all other continents. Unless you mean something happened even before that, but then basically all continents were as one supercontinent anyway and I don't see how a moon (!) impact would form Australia in specific.
Pangea later split to form Laurasia and Gondwanaland. Australia should be from the latter.
The theory you mention sounds like the work of someone who has no insight into continental drifts at all, thinking that "hmm, Australia is a fuckin' big island, perhaps it's from a moon??":-)
Actually, if developing for Xbox and PC is so similar in environment and libraries (both using DirectX for example), why decide on making something Xbox-only? Wouldn't the "effort for revenue" ratio be rather good for BioWare?:-/
I don't like Quicktime because the codec was never released as a DirectX codec on Windows, causing it to be played pretty much only on their player which lacks functionality, especially since it's not an open codec. The only exception I know is Media Player Classic, which is the player I use at the moment for several other reasons too. Their player also use a hideous brushed metal GUI.:-)
And every once in a while it nags me about registering, so I consider it to be nagware.
by any stretch of the imagination, in fact there are probably numerous untold exploits available for this software. Its just a matter of time, as with any opensource product.
How on earth would the artist be able to produce his/her music and stand a chance in the competition!? By making good music. Yeah right. Good unpromoted music not even recorded in a professional quality studio.
Hmm.. Or maybe not. That last link was a bit deceiving. :-)

The last I've watched that I found original was Donnie Darko. But perhaps there's a similar movie out there, somewhere, if you look hard enough.

Of course. But the parent wasn't asking if he was an MS psychologist or not.

Yep.. Here are two anagrams of Slashdot making me relate to the site:

... but still not improved to allow multiple downloads/uploads in the same window? I never really understood why BT shouldn't have that.
Also, they're on their way to becoming an actual internet standard.
Yeah, when they're getting to MSN's usage level...
I don't know about that...

I still use finger all the time.

Yes... Or don't delay the movie releases for so damn long time for other countries... At least that's *my* reason I sometimes download movies...
:-P
You know something is very wrong when you can get a DVD-quality screener from the internet before it has had its premiere in your country.

Yeah, so let's use the alternative.
Windows servers.
Those are more secure I heard.
