    I'll second that. I had an 800, then moved up to the 130XE (128K RAM--woohoo!). I taught myself BASIC from a book and reading the programs in Antic magazine. Ah, the good old days, when graphics sucked and games had to rely on THOUGHT, instead of just point-and-shoot.

    In Illinois on the tollway, they occasionally park police cars on the side of the road for this purpose. It worked at first, but people started noticing that there was no one in them. Then, they started putting dummies dressed as cops in the driver's seat (well, at least I think they were dummies :)). Driving by one time I saw some wit had left a box of Dunkin' Donuts on the hood. Pretty funny.

    Well, my Garmin GPS is within 2-3 mph of the analog guage on my dash, even at higher speeds, so my guess is no. Not to take anything away from German engineering :)

    My Bimmer 328iS supposedly has the same kind of governor (electronically limited at 128mph), but I routinely go over 130 with it. No problem at all.

    In point of fact, Buffalo Bill is using Starlight goggles, which operate on a completely different principle than IR. Starlight amplifies existing light many times over; consequently, it cannot be used in complete darkness. One clue: that strange "green" effect.

    I gotta take issue w/ the ps. I have been driving my 328iS for a couple years now, and it'll still smoke most anything on the road, unlike your big "manly" muscle cars that can get blown away by a Honda Accord. And, my top end (w/ governor chip replaced) is 162mph.

    Actually, in Illinois (where I live), the penalties for murder and attempted murder are the same. This also applies to conspiracy to commit murder, which is having the intent without necessarily following through.

    I found their highs a little tinny. Overall, though, still a kickass speaker and better than anything Korea could put out. And thanks for adding support to my argument.

    I recently suggested that as an upgrade path during an infrastructure meeting. They're still using 10Mb HUBS. Needless to say, it was met with some pissed off looks from management and some under-the-breath snickers from the network team :)

    Umm, not that I use it often, but when I start the GUI on my FreeBSD router, it sure looks a lot like Gnome, and it even says "Loading Gnome Desktop" right on it. Not to mention that FreeBSD is an officially supported OS for Gnome as of two weeks ago.

    You can try one of the pinko-distros for this: on my test box, I've installed both RedSplat and Cruftdera and they configure the sound during the install.

    Sorry, my bad. slackware-current has Gnome 1.2.4, although that is newer than 7.1-stable release, which I believe was 1.2.1

    Just go to ftp.slackware.com and download the GTK1 diskset from slackware-current. Run upgradepkg and you're all set!
