How appropriate that you're anonymous. Oh look at me, dropping hints like that.

  5. Lt. Dan on Did an Unnamed MIT Student Save Apollo 13? · · Score: -1

I'm only 18 today, but I watched the movie (with Forest and Lt. Dan), and I know it probably isn't the most accurate thing in the world, but it sure did make those folks at NASA look like some badasses, at least to me. It's too bad the space program got left in the 70's, then scrapped when we ran out of money. Anyways, chalk another up for our good friend RMS

  6. What about us? on John Carmack: Kudos To Valve, But Linux Is Still Not a Viable Gaming Market · · Score: -1

What about the people, like me, who bought a bunch of games while still using windows? What, did you think I don't want to finish Half Life 2? Or pwn some noobs in CS:S? I like those games, but I hate windows more. When I get steam working on linux I'm definately going to be buying more games. Carmack, you're a cool guy and all, but c'mon. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go play Quake 1 on a linux native engine.

  7. Nope on Facebook and Wal-Mart Join Forces · · Score: -1

I'm gonna go ahead and play fortune tell here: The Government passes a bunch of privacy violating cyber laws Everyone thinks its great for a day or two, then forgets all about it. A Republican gets elected down the road a year or four Everything is business as usual Some kind of scandal or some other such nonsense happens Everyone blames the Republican and calls him a fascist Rinse and repeat.

How about, oh I dunno, giving steam to those who have been waiting since forever instead of the kiddos who are just starting to use linux? (i.e ubuntu)

  13. Re:The worthwhile point that is missed... on Has the Command Line Outstayed Its Welcome? · · Score: -1

A desktop os is only a vehicle in which to launch a browser.

Do you work for apple, or one of those companies always trying to sell me a visible mass of liquid droplets or frozen crystals made of water or various chemicals suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of a planetary body?

  14. You can't be serious on Has the Command Line Outstayed Its Welcome? · · Score: -1

'If it is there, it should just be there for the IT people or tech support to use when you encounter a problem.'" Ahahahahaha.. Oh wait, you're serious? Let me laugh harder. I, for one, fix my problems myself with a little googling and occasionally some help from my home-dawgs on irc, I don't need Apoo to fix anything for me. This is the kind of thing that's ruining everything for those of us who know what we're doing and want to learn more about how things work inside. If Linux distros got rid of the command line, I would.. well.. I would switch to *BSD.

  15. Wait on Apple Transitions Hardware Leadership · · Score: 3, Funny
