Reminds me of the circus in the 90's when the commerce cops tried to break up Microsoft.
Oh yeah... that's not why you got elected. And it's not what judges are supposed to do.
Breaking up Amazon would just mean people have to chase their tails around extra hard to make sure they aren't too successful so the government doesn't start kicking them around. The easiest way to reduce their sales is charge more.
How would you like it if Walmart, K-Mart, and Amazon collectively decided to raise their prices?
Couldn't you call that collective bargaining to?
In both cases it is shenanigans. Unwillingness to compete means you don't believe you can do it and need the economics game genie, which is entirely the reason slavery and fuedalism existed back in the day.
React has better adoption. While it's worth noting Angular is supported indirectly by Microsoft since they publicly support Angular... the Microsoft guys I know are all doing React at work. So it doesn't really have as much support as React.
I agree that math can't tell you "what is" (cf French existentialism, SK, etc)... but perhaps the way we have modeled it indicates something that applies physically as well?
I haven't figured out if this was a referendum election or not.
No one seems to be bringing up that topic.
Some of Trump's comments indicate he didn't think it mattered who the GOP nominated, so he sees to be the closest anyone has gotten to weighing in on the topic.
I mostly voted for Trump than against Obama or against Hillary, but there was a lot of anger in the outcome. I kind of think it was more referendum than not.
I have a friend in the DNC. He is working very hard to convince people they have a say in their party, but he is met mostly with disbelief from his own party. I'm not sure he believes the DNC will nominate their people's pick. He SURE believes Bernie would have won in a general. Personally, I have no idea.
Even though I am a GOP guy, I respect my friends efforts to fight the corruption in the DNC. He's certainly not alone.
I think he is up against too much, though:(
Rush says to never feel sorry for these guys, but I do anyway.
If you don't protect the success of businesses you end up like Europe where there are no new companies ever, no new jobs, no new movies, no scientific breakthroughs, no new medical treatments or drugs, and everybody takes periodic steps to impoverishment.
Why are we listening to this guy?
His "breakthrough" in understanding isn't something people would want to steal.
Like the plans to bulldoze hypothetically failing nuclear disasters into the hills, we must be prepared to hide to all men what a pitiful state AI research is in.
Reminds me of the study where children were shown to have reached for organic food when it was inside McDonalds packaging and the media proclaimed, "Oh we just need to change the packaging!"
The government can help by printing lots of extra money and giving it to poor people. Just like how Fidel Castro was going to generously share nearly all of his $2 billion dollars moments before he died. Just like how Obama wanted to wait until after his finances were closely watched before he started giving more than 1% of his income to the poor. Just like how the Wiemar Republic in Germany printed money all over the place. These are the REAL people who are going to help the poor. Not people like Dick Chaney who only gave away 90% of his income to charity. Clearly that guy is only motivated by invading OPEC countries and selling their resources.
Given this glorious track record of government service and assistance, why should block-hate tamper-free mechanism be allowed to stand in the way of showering FREE STUFF onto people?

Amazon has a high share price. Claiming it's the opposite with quotes undermines your point.
Suzy doesn't want to go into a field you can't stay in for more than 15 years.
... but not if the complainers are the ones dumping in the river !!
They made this mess, and they're only treating symptoms.
I can understand if people complain about polluted rivers
Nancy got called on the carpet for her statement on how the economy is only improving by crumbs.
She (tried to) walk it back.

Interest doesn't really come from the pick of field as much as one's commitment to succeeding in it.
You can succeed bigly with some fields that don't seem to be in demand at all.
True ... but I think he was saying it's not like they don't have options
Ah ... at first I though you were serious.
... good post.

There's a reason they call it the bleeding edge.

The fascination HR has with frameworks is peculiar and asymmetrical.
I'm wondering if I can manipulate this into coding in my 50's.
You'd rather use Java than C# ?
They're making sure they get the credit.
And they deserve it.
Is this the same kind of dire Obama promised Syria if they used chemical weapons on their own people?

Because if it is
Facebook doesn't have enough time to check for that.
They have to make sure people have the correct political views.
They help a lot with that kind of thing.

Intel is not under any obligation to protect that information from the public.
Who says the feds have to be the first to know?
Not me.

Cf. the Turing criteria
One is something people are using and buying.
The other is not.
