  2. Software/Hardware Hybrid on Hardware Firewall On a USB Key · · Score: 1

  5. TOS on Hosting Service Closes 3000 Blogs Without Notice · · Score: 5, Insightful

The real question is whether or not this is allowed in the TOS. If it is, well than, that's how the cookie crumbles, users should have been making backups.

If it is not allowed by the TOS than users have a right to be outraged.

Why on earth would you submit your own website when you know it will go down in a matter of seconds? Authors should have to start proving some sort of minimal bandwidth requirement before submitting their own site. I'm tired of people hosting web pages on their home DSL lines.

Claria is one of the most prevalent and intrusive spyware programs out there. It's a major omission to not handle it.

This just shows yet another benefit of open source software. When a publicly traded corporation is solely behind the development of a closed product, don't be suprised when they try to protect their interests, at the consumer's expense.

"Why aren't the automakers bashing these third-party code readers over the head with the DMCA while they still can?"

Because the DMCA protects copyrighted information that is protected by some sort of security system (although the system is often lame). These auto codes are not protected by any security, besides obscurity.
