    easy way to sneak the tracker onto girls (may also work after tweaks with boys) as part of the "Princess" experience issue a "magic wand" (bonus points if it lights up or makes music type sounds) wanna bet that 9?% of the girls will keep that wand with them???

    tie clips and pens that can be autoclaved would also improve things in a hospital.

    seriously if you go to a hospital for an extended stay
    1 ask for an extra box of gloves

    2 have a friend bring you a box of pens

    whenever somebody comes in your room have them do a glove change and then pick up a new pen

    1 you don't have a "cell phone" you have a Mobile Computing Device (that does phone calls)

    2 you don't have to be connected to your personal/business world 24/7/52

    for the lower end get a metal box of some sort line it with paper and then for a few hours a week put your MCP in the box and CLOSE it

    for the 1% folks get somebody to line an old cigar box with metal and then silk and a few hours a month put your MCP in the box and close it.

    and no but then BYOD policies are STUPID if your business requires cells/MCPs then ISSUE THEM

    Boys are better at pulling the wagon the girls are sitting in

    Males and Females ARE NOT EQUAL AND NEVER WILL BE

    the closest we can get is to in first grade teach boys and girls Dance (continue as each has Talent) to get both boys and girls used to seeing each other in minimal clothing and not thinking sexually (bonus it teaches them how to MOVE).

    Of course if the Public Education System actually Educated this would also help.

    what i would suggest is pure software patents be BANNED (and all currently active software patents voided)

    now if software is some part of an actual physical product (ie something that would go THUD is dropped) and is an intergral part of said physical product then you can have a patent on the entire setup.

    also there should be a rule of "must infringe on all parts" for a patent to be violated (dropping out clauses that don't apply ie claim for water use when the infringement is land use if there is a land use clause)

    how do i set things up so that %User% is treated as being the same as Root (just with a different home folder)

    and Sudoers just controls who can use SU

    after a bit of jiggery pokery yes they do in fact Martha Jones? used her (loaned) cell phone to call The Doctor back to earth during that sontaren gas thing.

    and of course during The Stolen Earth Team Who rigged up a way to call The Doctor when they were out of timesync by a couple seconds.

    but anyway as long as you can have a BinBlob for the radio stuff i think an OS phone could work

    heck are they working on the hooks for Phones in the main Kernel??

    what i would like to see is a distro that either

    1 has ROOT completely unlocked (and no nag screen when you dare to login to XWindows under ROOT)
    or
    2 has tracked down each and every unneeded use of ROOT and fixed them
      A mounting volumes R/W as a user
      B editing USER settings files (btw WHYTF does this even require hand editing)
      C any of a dozen or more different "Gotcha! You need ROOT for this" (with a 10% chance that you need actual ROOT for this)
    type things

    oh and SU is not an answer since SU turns into FU very quickly if you have to do more than one thing or split between terminal and GUI

    and on a side note whats with hiding settings files in several different files (some of which override others) even if you limit to USER HOME files??

    as an example you can put an adult male into cardiac arrest with a 9 volt battery if you get blood contact.

    seriously a nice chunky INSULATED screwdriver will work for anything in the pico/nano farad range you are more likely to "pop" a cap by putting it in a circuit backwards than get a dangerous shock from a charged cap.

    the tl,dr version is a 555 is a bog standard way to generate a timing pulse since it is one of those very stable designs (put it into a circuit with X values and you will get pulses at Y hertz) It of course can be used for a few other things also
