    If you HAVE to deal with a Win8 system then install classic shell and be done with it

    If you think the measure of things is how a 3 year old does them then i would suggest your choices are a bit different beginning with say your underwear,

    note for MS please restore the Start menu/Orb at least as an option for SP1

    note for IT managers please allow things like Classic Shell so that your folks can get WORK done.

    No actually its because of the IAAL types that something that might be considered "Professional Advice" must be preceded with I Am Not A %Professional% to flag that this might be WRONG

    depends on how flexible you define face to face

    you may have a problem with somebody showing up "furry" but in SL you can actually see faces.

    quite frankly Businesses should consider trying to get as many folks to work from home as possible.

    start with this question

    What is the exact reason you think that you need all of your people actually nose to muzzle on a day to day basis??

    If its the real time "Face to Face" thing then for all that matters you could have everybody meet on your corporate sim on the SL grid

    would it be worth it to pay US$1000 and then US$295 a month for a meeting place that is world accessable runs 24/7 and does not have the problems of folks making each other sick??

    (special note there are other similar grids with lower prices)

    making a few assumtions here

    lets say you go to a party and then get drugged out of your mind (spiked drink) they then strip you down shave you and put you in a wig makeup and teddy (with any needed padding). As the party winds down they then start posting pictures AND TAGGING THEM hinting that you maybe wanted to be dressed/act like that.

    do you think the Important People in your life would approve?? the ones you haven't met yet??

    I was surprised that companies don't rig the install disc to be self booting anymore Why is this??

    would not be a problem but an updated bootable copy seems to be either Vodoo or in the form of download a full copy every time

    if somebody tries to touch your screen with Naked Fingers you pull out your slide rule quickly calculate the need strike force and then SNAP THEIR HANDS OFF AT THE WRIST (with your slide rule of course)

    Okay so you create a battery that can be made cheaply and outputs X amount of Volts and Y amount of Amperage per gram of weight.

    1 what does the discharge curve look like?? (how quick does it drop voltage/amperage)
    2 exactly how toxic is the stuff inside?
    3 what happens if it gets shorted??
    4 how easy is it to recharge SAFELY??
    5 what about heat??

    it does no good to create a ZPM if dropping it causes an explosion in the C4 range or having a battery that has a sloped power curve (so that half power = half voltage).

    the big problem is that the setup made

    1 amino acids that were WRONG
    2 also produced Poison Gunk (that worked to break down anything that was produced)

    Evolution is a tornado hitting a car junk yard and leaving a working airplane behind.

    Way to many times for a new "feature" to work a list of about a dozen things have to be true.

    ICR is constantly finding stuff that says "simple" things aren't.
