Are you referring to SSH Communications' *free* client? I am a user of both versions of OpenSSH (FreeBSD) and SSH Communications (Windows), and I've not have any problems with both. OpenSSH's version is command-line based and works great on Unix, while on Windows, it's preferable to use a GUI version, which is what SSH Communcations distributes for free. Their client (SshClient.exe) is easy to use and doesn't get in the way. I'm not sure what you are talking about, but SshClient.exe has never crashed on me. Plus, instead of command-line scp, they have a GUI version much like FileZilla, accessible through SshClient.exe/f. While I haven't used much server side SSH on both Open and Communications (besides some OpenSSH sshd configs on FreeBSD), I don't find your argument again buggy software on SSH Communications part justifiable. The only unfornate case is that it seems Communcations has stopped updating their free client version since March 2004 (it was updated pretty often before).

Actually, with WM9, video quality seems to be consistently better than MPEG or DivX files of the same size. So, yeah, it's very reasonable for someone to use WM.

OK, so it's really not that big a deal, we'll get used to the new version where the "tab" links are more squished together (note to Google: there's all that whitespace between the links waiting to be liberated!).
The real kicker is the new search results pages. Instead of utilizing most of the page as before for the actual results, and using B/W text for explanations, now they are highlighted by this ugly MSN/Yahoo-like pale-blue/green combo, which, (*GASP*) looks oh-so-similar to the text ads that are taking almost 1/3 of the page on the right. (see example: new search page.)

Well, I guess I'm not in the position to criticize a free, powerful service. But I guess if they are going to keep it free, they might as well try to keep the user experience as nice as possible. I'll still be using Google just as much as before, but I guess I'll be nostalgically longing for the good ol' days^H^H^H^H, uh, I mean 6 hours ago.

There are several news items claiming that X.Org and The XFree86 Project have merged. This is a blatant lie. The XFree86 Project remains an independent organisation, and will continue as operate as an independent organisation according to its mission statement. There has been no discussion with X.Org about any such merge, let alone any agreement to a merge.
X.Org is a vendor-sponsored organisation, formed by vendors to best suit the interests of those vendors; XFree86 is an independent volunteer organisation, with a focus on the individual. Therein lies the rub.
