Actually, it's only legal to download in Canada. Uploading is illegal.
As others have said, this case (RTFA) doesn't deal with this, it's more about the music industry not having sufficient proof of infraction to compel the release of the names.
Nice troll. The "selling the console at a loss" state is not unique to Microsoft. Most (or possibly all) of the consoles are like that. It's like cell phones -- sell the hardware at a loss, make it up on the accessories, services, etc.
I also recall hearing somewhere that they get the manufacturing costs ways down as the product matures, so later revs are as much of a loss, or possibly not a loss at all.
I'd say no. It's generally considered harder to secure an existing system than it is to keep a system secure and add features to it. I saw a quote from Bruce Schneier recently to that effect, I think from his "Secrets and Lies" book.
Essentially, good security relies on good architecture. Once you have an architecture from existing features, it may not be reasonable to make it secure because it may be architected for different goals.
They give the phones enough bandwidth to carry the important frequencies for speech. If they gave more bandwidth to phones, they would lose total carrying capacity.
What sort of word is "sphexishly"? I can't find it in any online dictionary, and a straight Google search only finds 2 distinct occurrences, neither of which makes clear its meaning.
Nice to see that old urban legendenjoying a comeback. Heck, it may ever turn out to be true. If it does, I hope they have the foresight to actually designate it with this non-standard identifier.
posting anonymously to avoid burning my karma Is your karma really that important? Don't you have anything else to show for your life? You realize it's not real karma, don't you?
Why does one have to CARRY THE RING on their body. Just put it on a stick. That says little about Gandalf or the elves self control. It's just something to ME is an insurmountable fact.
The ring is that powerful. It is imbued with much of the essence of Sauron, one of (if not the) most powerful beings in Middle Earth.
If you don't have a problem with potentially different physics in the SW universe, why do you have trouble with some of the differences in LotR, which is also set in a different world?
You know, parts of SW looked a lot like Tunisia to me.:)
If you want a good, powerful, well-supported (you can get your questions answered) shell for Windows right now, check out JP Software's 4NT and Take Command replacement shells.
Control structures, many built in functions (string and file manipulation, some internet communications,...) and more, with 99% compatibility with CMD.exe, just in case.
I started using it just for nice command history back in 1991 and have stayed with it ever since.
Apparently, even in Canada's biggest market, Canadians aren't any more sophisticated than Americans.
I disagree with that interpretation of those facts. Toronto is notorious for wanting to be an American city, coveting American things. They want to be Big Time(tm), and they see that as being American. It's not sophistication, it's "wannabe".
For example, a number of years back, the local CFL franchise Toronto Argonauts were having a great season, averaging 39 points a game! On offense, not total game score! Come September, the run to the playoffs is on, and they draw something like 20000 fans to a game, maybe less, I don't recall. That same weekend, an NFLpre-season exhibition game also in Toronto drew 55000 people! Buloads of Torontonians regular travel down to Buffalo Bills games.
Toronto doesn't dislike Canadian music on it's merits, only because it's not American.
Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

A ha! That's exactly where I'd read it. Thanks for pointing me to the right place.
I stand by the cell phones part though.

Neither that link nor your comment says anything that contradicts the parent poster. How is the lossless PNG format worse than RAW?

Mostly because it's Good Enough(tm).

"At some point I expect all these to be one company again"
One ringy dingy to rule them all
One ringy dingy to find them
One ringy dingy to bring them all
And in the darkness bind them.
A moose bit my sister.
a) That was not a problem with the type of license, it was a dispute over proper ownership of code
2) It's resolved now, it's all better.
D'oh. Looked it up by losing the 'ly', now I understand.

Just curious.
Bloody moderators! That wasn't a troll. It was Offtopic, possibly Flamebait. Sheesh, read the frickin' guidelines.
F1 is second only to the World Cup and the Olympics in global TV audience
... wouldn't that make them third, not second?
Um
OS X is a descendant of OpenBSD, no? No. OS X is derived from FreeBSD.

No-one:
Crypto export laws were relexed a long time ago (during the Clinton administration).
Just goes to support what I've observed about people who claim Mensa membership.
(1) With apologies to Author's boss in "The Tick"
That would be Arthur.
That's Darl McBride.

Have an opinion and stand by it.

No, it's more like the full capacity because the traffic was 20Mb/s in each direction. The DS3/T3 bandwidth is 45Mb/s, in one direction.
Ouch, nice blind shot. I'm from AB. I can't call you on that.
