    Car accidents cost nearly 60,000 lives a year in the US. As opposed to the 12,000 for firearms (not including suicides) even with suicides it comes to 30,000.

    Where do you get the idea guns kill more people a year in the united states ?

    Im not sure that a lot of the people on these social programs are actualy capeable of handling their own financial needs. They seem to need to government to tell them how to use the money.
    Ie, food stamps can only be used on food.

    Problem is, inflation has sky rocketed and pay hasnt. So inflation is already skyrocketing with nothing really pushing it.

    You also get revolutions when you tax people to much. Especially when it is going to people that seemingly sit around all day and do nothing.

  17. I dont see a lot of rich people willing to give away THEIR money. It always seems to be through taxes on everyone... while the rich have ways of avoiding it.
    I dont see a lot of people making the median shouting for higher taxes so people can sit at home and do nothing and earn money.

    There is also resentment involved. When people see someone getying special privilages or special treatment for being a minority or woman. Poor treatment from co workers happens after that.

    Have a look at Ontario Canada's Hydro rates. They have a ton of Wind "Green energy" and our hydro rates are the highest in north america and still slated to rise close to 300% in the next 3 years. (1400sqft house, all compact florescent's, only use dishwasher and washer and dryer after 7 (when time of use kicks in) and my hydro per month is close to 200 a month. All because of Wynne's Green energy act, and Cap and trade Carbon taxes.
