Verisign has just acquired more domain names than there are atoms in the universe. If Mountain View wanted them they'd have to pay more money than exists, whereas it only cost versign a line in their DNS records.

A few years ago, when we first got an email system at work, whenever my boss wanted to show me an email someone sent him he would PRINT IT OUT AND HAND IT TO ME instead of just forwarding it.
He's learned since then, but sheesh. It annoyed the hell out of me.
I also found this and this. Apperently Venus is losing some of its atmosphere into space because of the solar wind. (Venus doesnt have much of a magnetic field either).
This is a repost, the first was stuffed up for some reason.
Actually i think a better analagy would be letting actual robots into your store. I dont know about you but i wouldnt want big 500 kilo robots stomping around, their red robotic eyes clicking and whirring, scaring the customers, ruining the carpet.
No sir, call me robotist but i would put a big sign up saying 'no robots' right next to where it says 'no dogs' and 'no skateboarding'.
What is needed is an easy way of leaving tips at web sites. I bet a lot of sites would make more money if it was given voluntarily, rather than making people look at stupid banner adds. Bands could play live over the web and fans could show their appreciation with a buck or two. And as an added bonus, sites that get a lot of hits aren't necassiraly the ones that will get the most money, posting an inflammatory article to get mentioned on slashdot will no longer work.
All thats needed is a safe and easy way to leave the occasional quarter. hmmm.
This reminds me of an episode of star trek where Spock gets his brain stolen by alien space babes and Jim uses a remote controller device to move Spock around.
Now maybe not having a brain won't be the disadvantage it once was.
Because Gilligan hasn't picked the coconuts yet, while the fish are steadily rotting away.

This is clearly abuse of monopoly.

Actually I think you'll find that sharks ARE fish.
How often do people start a line with
begin ? Whoops silly me.
Maybe people are worried that if they dont vote for a gnome, the wrong gnome will get in.

I may be wrong, but doesn't a planet need a magnetic field to stop the atmosphere from being blasted away by solar radiation?
Apperently they have.

I found this poster to be rather interesting.
Interesting fact : 'cx' is the shortest domain name on the internet (although there might be other 2 letter ones around)
So how many senses can we squeeze into a game now?
Sight, sound, touch(force feedback), smell, and now the oft-overlooked sense of balance.
All thats left is taste and the sense of direction. And the one that lets you see ghosts.
Everyone remember to put on your moon goggles.
