    No, it isnt.

    Money means nothing to the kid. He's 13. Money is not an incentive for him to show up to court - getting his Xbox back IS an incentive, and is therefore a suitable bail condition.

    Its actually intelligent thinking on the part of the judge.

    They do (for a short time) in the UK, but you have to have a Cheque G'tee card, which is up to a fixed value

    WHich is usually your debit card, anyway.

    Thankfully the atrocious, slow and wasteful cheque system is going away.

    If you have poor eyesight, yes.

    Its why UK notes are different sizes and colours, and with brail identifying the denomination on each note. The more visual / textural identifiers you can give, the better.

    Or, you know, actually have good DR with someone like Sunguard or HP, who turn up with a lorry of servers just for you....

    And without the GPL, they would have been unable to cover the track FOR FREE

    THe GPL is an enabler; it grants you rights you do not normally have under copyright, in return for you agreeing to perform certain actions. Yes, these actions are restrictions on your behaviour - but they are also actions you could not normally have taken. So you have net gained.

    What CA is attempting to do is claim that "affiliates" of Amazon, based in CA, mean Amazon itself has a presence. ITs a lousy argument, but the likely outcome is - amazon drops CA affiliates, and tells CA to fuck off.

    2. Based on the goods having been imported from outside the EU, and the EU TM law allowing trademark holders to control the importation and exportation of their goods.

    Yes you can.

    You cannot dilute or confuse their trademark, however you CAN use it to describe or name their product
