    Boycott it only on that day? Wouldn't that make them plain old hypocrites?

    Call me old-fashioned but shouldn't Sony products be avoided anyway if there's a reasonable alternative?
    Hidden stuff (e.g., LCD panels) is a different story, similar to products where Sony is involved as shareholders. But at least try to avoid Sony-branded stuff (TV, laptops, ...).

    Doesn't need to be any developing nation. Just a few weeks ago the guys at the construction site for the new section of our building managed to accidentally damage one of the two main communication lines for our company, forcing the system to switch to the fallback connection.

    you can switch back and forth between the "Netbook" and "Desktop" configurations pretty easily in KDE

    In other words, someone actually used their brain when they implemented a netbook mode?

    I've preferred Gnome for ages since it feels more natural to my workflow, but the changes in Gnome 3 have me also looking into abandoning it iin favor of Xfce.

    Call me when we have something that can out lift the Saturn V. Yes I know they say this will cheaper but still I expected us to be much farther along than we are.

    You don't even need to aim that high. They're gunning for the Delta IV Heavy, which is said to manage a payload of roughly 13,500 lbs into GSO.
    They want to reach more than twice of that. Let's assume 30,000 lbs.
    That would still place them well below the 44,000 lbs the over 20 years old Energiya could handle (even if you don't update the blueprints). And that's only the regular one. Imagine what the planned monster with twice as many boosters could've achieved!

    Have to agree with you. The last time I paid the full price for a game instead of waiting until it had dropped 30 bucks was back in 2004. And with today's technology where a well-made (rare thing, nowadays) 2009 game still doesn't look bad next to a 2011 game I certainly don't see any problem with that.
