Since Rugby players don't hit each others with a helmet, they have almost no concussion or brain damage since it’s the helmet that allows for harder hits and a harder projectile.
Bitcoins take like a week to transfer, right? What price do you get when you sell one, the price at the time the transaction starts, or the time it completes?
At all, the majority of players hate cheaters, and I am myself quite happy that this is happening. Being 14 years does not give you immunity, especially if your infringement has been repeatedly pointed out. Suppose this kid was a client of your store, but every time he comes to visit (without buying anything) takes a crap on the floor. What are you going to do, not call the police because he is 14 years old? And when you call the police, do you think other clients would be mad at you because you tried to stop someone of their age?
You are clearly not a gamer, and you clearly have no idea of how a 14 years old age think.
I tried it, it still appears as an autocomplete suggestions, but none of the videos showed have anything to do with kids. I wonder how it ended up there.
I agree: no flat design, no minimalist interface, no fancy icons or flashy features. It does exactly what it has to do, and nothing more. Its UI is so clear that I don't think I ever had to check the documentation on how to use it (and I am no expert in the field). One of the best free source software out there.
While it may be useful for a programming language to somehow resemble the syntax of a natural language, you want to stay far away from pretty much everything else.
Having dialects, semantic ambiguity, or whatever a 'phonology' of a programming language could be is bad, because a programming language is created to speak to a computer/compiler, not to a human. The two computational system have very different requirements. It's the same reason you don't want to use humanoid robots in a warfare scenario. Yes, they are cool, but a tank does the job much better.
Nobody ever claimed that it was. In fact, I don't think anybody in has honestly shown that X is the panacea of Y. It's a new, different, and complementary way of funding a project. There are others such as public fundings and VC. Nobody said kickstarter was going to replace those. News at 11.
An option I didn't see is to consider selling the compiled program, and release the source code for free. People who wants to support your project will buy the compiled version, and hopefully not release the compiled version for free on an alternate mirror (which would would be like pirating). People who care about the source code, and wants to modify it, they can get it for free and do it and compile it themselves.
Has anybody ever tried this model? Indeed, as someone has already said, it depends a lot on the software, but I wonder if it may work in some cases.
I am sure a lot of people started earlier than me. The point is that not me or anybody I know started coding b/c he saw some cool character on Hollywood.
I started coding when I was about 15 years because I was in an IRC channel, and I wanted to "hack it:". I googled "how to become a hacker", and the Eric Steven Raymond's guide came up, so I started learning Unix, and shortly after coding. I liked coding so much that I almost never stopped since them, although I did not end up taking a CS major.
How many of you think that they got interested in coding because of Hollywood (legit question)? Do you think a movie could possibly affect such a decision or induce you into having a new passion, or not have it rather?
Ben Shapiro got physically assaulted and menaced of being beaten up by a transgender on TV and got away with it because as a trans the guy was a protected minority. Look it up if you don't believe me.
I am glad all this is happening to google. Maybe they will finally realize that replacing merit with social just at a workplace does not pay off, and others will follow suit.
In a private company, one should be able to hire and fire whoever they want (with proper compensation). You cannot be an anti-SJW libertarian only when the group complaining isn't the one you belong to.
Senior engineers should be more experienced and valuable than junior ones. If they are unemployable at google/facebook/etc., it means they are not valuable enough to that company. If that's the case, great, move on. I am sure they are all smart and capable people, and that they will find employment elsewhere. Just remember that you are paid and you are hired for what you are worth, not for your age or title. This may mean that over time your value may decrease, despite what you may think your value is.
If women cost 30% less than a man, companies would only hire women to get a huge advantage over competitors. The same logic applies here.
One last thing: keep on promoting the narrative where X group is always discriminated, and you end up with all possible subcategories of people feeling like they are. And remember you can always keep on subcategorizing, down until the individual level.
I have seen several of these kiosks in Manhattan already. They are ugly, most of them in a state of disrepair, and more unresponsive than your grandpa's internet explorer. And I'm a talking about the ones in front of Penn Station. I cannot imagine the ones they will install in the Bronx, or in some other non-central location.
If you want to be useful, just install free wifi repeaters (starting from the goddamn airports, please), like any other civilized city in Asia do.
I honestly would if it could replace my laptop. Mobile Phones nowadays are perfectly able to do so, the only thing they lack is a screen and a battery. I am looking forward to a laptop that can detach and become a phone. We already have tablet/laptop hybrids, phone/laptop hybrids are just the next step.

If you were thinking of using Slashdot deals, don't.
Self-driving cars with smart traffic light are the most sensible solution to the problem. The technology is almost there, but it will take at least 10 years before it is widespread enough to be of any use. In the meantime, favor telecommuting,ride-sharing as much as possible.
Flying cars may be the futuristic, hyped solution, but they are unfeasible, dangerous, and impractical.

Do not ever use slashdot deals. Unless you want to be ripped off.
Why does nobody mention Moonlight? The most boring movies nominated for the Oscar (probably ever), unanimously indicated as one of the best movies in the history, with a 100% rotten tomatoes score.
1. "implicature" is not a word. 2. You probably meant to use the word "implication", but even that word doesn't make sense in this context.
1. Yes, it is.
2. No, I didn't.
The implicature is that if an adult woman asks for an explicit picture of a boy or a girl it is OK.
Speculation. I buy bitcoins because I know some other idiots will buy bitcoins with the hope that they will keep on growing in prize.

For my secrets and crimes, I use encryption.
For everything else ...

I understand abandoning GMAIL is hard for most us, but I have been using Opera (I know it's Chromium) + DDC and they are both great.
git gud.
True that.
