If you are good at the technical side, but are lacking in creativity.. borrow ideas from other things you see. Mimic the idea but change it slightly to be your own.
Anyone who knows how to pick a lock can open most locks with 5 cents worth of equipment: a couple bent paperclips. Lets write a big story about how all these locks are weak.
So what? The lock is pickable; so are most other locks.
Unless the big story here is about the warrany. The fact they knew the lock is weak, so they worded the warranty in a way to avoid paying up.
Connectix Ram Doubler and CrashGuard worked beautifully on Mac back in the day. I always wondered if the same thing could be done on PC as well as Connectix did it for Mac.
A few of the comment threads on this one are the funniest I've seen on/. ever. Usually after reading the funny comments, I feel like throwing eggs or tomatoes. Bravo
I returned a HP printer to CompUSA. The printer was printing on the page off-center. So the margin was.5 inch at the top and 0 by the end of the page. I took it back and suggested that the roller wasnt picking up the paper correctly and it appeared to be a hardware problem. The manager told me that its a "driver" problem and that I probably installed the software wrong.
So, I probably clicked Next, Next, Next wrong and that is causing the paper to load into the printer crooked
Dont you have those pesky popups that appear when you close a window? The old infinate loop popup problem. This code will bypass the Mozilla Pop Up blocker and launch popups on exit (Tested on Mozilla 1.7b):
<SCRIPT language=Javascript> <!-- BEGIN EXIT CODE
var shut2=true;
function exit2a() {
if (shut2) props=window.open("http://site/popup.html ", 'poppage11', 'toolbars=0, scrollbars=1, location=0, statusbars=0, menubars=0, resizable=1, width=800, height=800'); } --> </SCRIPT> </head> <body onunload="exit2a()">
My college, Utah Valley State College has wireless pretty much 100% of the campus . Every classroom, every building, parking lots, and is not on the list at all.
Well this campus is very well WireLESS. Some spots are a little weak, while other spots you may be able to pick up 10+ APs. Also you can connect from most of the parking lots.
Pretty much every classroom has full Wireless access available.
The Debian PowerPC port began in 1997 at the German Linux Congress in Wurzburg. A PowerPC machine (Motorola StarMax 4000, 200 MHz 604e) was donated to the Debian project. Additional information about this computer is available from the history page.
Debian PowerPC port was first officially released with Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 (`potato'). Support for PowerPC is maintained in the release 3.0 (`woody'). Please see the release notes and installation manual for more information.
I have been through this program to deal with ADD. My grandpa paid $50 per session. In my opinion, attempting to focus on some game has no relevancy to focusing in real life. Its a rip off
My grandpa paid 50 dollars per session for me to have electrodes hooked up to my head and control a ship with my mind. It was designed to help people with ADD focus better. The more brain activity it sensed, the higher the thing on the screen went.
After a few sessions I was able to control the little thing on the screen, but I think it was pointless. As a game it may be more useful than a tool to solve ADD.
At a wells fargo in Utah, I withdrew $100. The tray opened and nothing came out. I knew that I would never see this money
Anyways, I saw the edge of a bill way up in the mechanics of the machine. I dug it out and then got another, and another. Eventually got the whole 100 out of the thing.. super lucky
I had the same comment. Also use VMware for that untrusted app, so that no malicious code touches your real disk. You dont want BastardTrojan overwriting your winlogon.exe or other stuff like that...
In their salt lake coverage area, the wasatch mountains border all the cities for 100 miles. It would be piece of cake to get line of sight everywhere here
You sir, are a republican. Unbothered by anti liberal speak, but upset by anti republican speak. The guy above is not a troll. You get a life and learn that some people have ideals that you may not

Yes it was a very tough install...

Why pick on Kensington?

Monitor your TiVo with GKrellM

I compiled and run GKrellM-server on my TiVo. It rocks
One feature is the ability to boost the wireless signal strength up to 300%. Most users can find use in that.

Blogging:
There is already a word for this sort of thing: It's called a "Journal". I dont think just because it is on the Internet, it deserves a new name.
People just seem to be catch-phrase and buzz-word happy. Just like my old boss.

You should have forked out for a wireless card with an antenna jack and a directional antenna like the Cantenna
You can boost your wireless signal by 200% sometimes. Especially if your antenna doesnt move and the access point doesnt move, like in your situation.

Why use pine over SSH when you can use SSL enabled IMAP (imaps) or SSL enabled POP3? Thunderbird supports it.
UVSC - Utah Valley State College

ALWAYS use VMware for running untrusted apps. Also make sure that VMware instance has a Personal Firewall installed.
Agreed. I updated my servers over 24 hours ago
