    The first Mortal Kombat film was not bad, compared to Street Fighter, or wing commander.
    Even the FF movie was pretty good, just like the video games it had little to do with other things besides it being "Final Fantasy" and a few character names.

    I chipped my DVD player, and it jumps to the start of the movie now instead of playing all that intro crap.
    Even on Spirited Away.

    It's got nothing to do with the CPU location AFAIk.
    The laser unit ran on plastic rails.
    these would wear down (usually on one side only) causing the laser assembly to no longer be horizontal over part of the disc.
    Flipping it over lets the laser unit rest horizontal and causes the read errors to go away.
    A few years ago you could get a "repair" kit that while involved would let you replace the rails in the laser assembly (for $5) rather then buya new PSX.

    I saw a little bit of this and frankly didnt think making fun of the guy or posting it to the net was funny.
    I walked away as it wasnt my computer playing it. At the time I didnt know it was stolen ot I would have aske dthem to stop showing it and delete it.

    The DVD does not wear out (from normal use) like you depreciating ford.
    The problem and reason a DVD "rots" (Just like LD) is that the manufacturere screwed up and was willing to ship defective product instead of replacing it.

    When I was there I noticed it is not acceptable to point with your index finger, but instead to point with your middle finger.

    All kinds of small cultural differances between societies all over the world.

    Also if Americans with chewing tobaco is revolting, in India they have the equivilant vice called "betele nut". I dont think it has the bad health side effects of tobacco.

    Caldera specifically provided resorces with the intent of linux developing things like SMP.
    There is no way they can argue they didnt intend it.
