    There are plenty of butchers in the US. Even some supermarket chains actually get the whole carcas and process it themselves, offering a good selection of cuts. That takes some skill to do properly.

    Look at the statistics for uptake in other MMORPG games and then guess. Looking at the numbers of beta people I would have suggested making servers available to handle a third to half (at most) that number.

    NPR did an interview with someone from Pixar (I cant remember who) and they talked about the creation of the characters and the exact things you mention were given. So anyone looking for it might be able to find referance to it on Morning Edition website (or was it All Things Considered) I cant remember clearly as my commute in the A.M. and P.M. just kinda turns into a suffusion of yellow after a certain point.

    True, but I wish people would stop believeing the markets are over unity devices that will always go up at an ever expanding rate. Because when the fantasy they live gets broken and someone reports lower then expected earnings or something they all go crazy and do stupid irrational shit in the market messing it all up for us sane people.

    As for civillian humvee, yes they are a blight on humanity, the drivers suck (VMMV) and they should be removed from this earth. I do however enjoy seeing them in my rear view mirror, because they have "blowjob" written in huge letters all over.

    Small problem with your example. Unless the "child porn" in question is drawn from imagination (cartoon, line drawing, rendered whatever) and not based on real child abuse, or is not real pictures of child abuse, no harm has been done.
    The problem of child pornography is that childern get abused to make it.
    Also paederest is a more accurate word to use to describe someone who wants to engage in sexual activity with childern.

    I'm botherd by the "bridge" set layout. Racks of equipment, not secured. that big glass thing combined with regular office rolling chairs and no way to breace for impact/seatbelts/secured chairs at stations is a major OSHA violation. Also it strikes me as exactly not how to equip the command and control area of a battleship, but thats just me.

    Anything less then S-VHS with bult in time base corrector is not a good VCR.
    They cost less then $300 now a days.
    Little generational loss is introduced by these units and they can use "regular" VHS type tape.

    AFAIK, inthe case of "Howel's" he is adapting a book to screen. He did this with "Kiki's" and many readers of the books enjoyed "Kiki's" but not as much since things are always lost in the translation.
    Maybe some peoples reaction to "Howl's" is the same way?

    I think the others point was that this isnt jsut some "anime producer" like say someone from CLAMP or GINAX. This is someone who has become respected in the field of animation to the point many referances to him are "The Japanese equivilant of Walt Disney".
    Everyone at PIXAR seems to talk about how his works influenced them.
    Now if you or others have never bothered with anything related to Animation or Comics in the art world, then I can certainaly understand why the name might not be recognizable.
    I think Spirited Away alone has had about a billion times more effect on the world at large then tne GNAA but if the GNAA is all that makes your world livable, good for you.

    I'll bite.

    "In God We Trust" was only seen on certain money (some coins) before McCarthyism. When the commie witch hunts began, it was added to the rest of our money.

    If you dont believe me try the US Treasury.

    Personally I think that motto being on money is insulting to GOD, I mean think about what money gets used for. Jesus would kick some serious American ass over it if he were here today.

    As for the founding fathers and religion thats way off topic from where we are even now.

    Those bits in Shenmue remind me of the arcade versions of Die Hard Trilogy. Maybe thats where they got the idea.
