I am an avid hardware fan, why use the processor to do such redundant tasks that are better suited for hardware to do. Let the processor do what it does best, I always go out of my way to buy hardware products because they don't load the processor down with undeeded tasks and can work with just about any operating system. This is just another ploy by Microsoft to make sure vendors hardware will ONLY work with Windows.
I find this thing funny myself. As I sit here typing there is a Microsoft.NET banner ad spewing the virtues of building an application with 1/4 the code as java. What gives? If Microsoft wants me to use their.NET services they're going to have to do quite a bit to regain my trust.
Guess this means I'll never buy another Sony product, I now feel ashamed that I bought a new Sony TV a few months ago. Listen Sony, there will ALWAYS be a work around. If it dosent work on my PC I'll try my Sun box, if not then I'll just use my CD player assuming it dosen't crash my CD player...
If Microsoft is going to that stuborn then Universal Pictures should sue Microsoft for using the word Windows. Some of you may or may not know Windows is the name of the radio operator in John Carpenters 1982 remake of The Thing. By all rights Microsoft should of asked Universal Pictures to use the name. One might say that one could confuse Windows with the actor who played Windows in The Thing...
I had removed the cover off a western digital 420 meg hard drive and watched a base install of Linux install, kinda cool watching thoes heads thrash around. =)
I prefer the seven segment neon display tubes myself. They still provide the warm glow of neon but are driven more or less like LED displays. I have had one or two Heathkit digital clocks that use these tubes and they see to last about as long as nixie tubes before they wear out and need replacement..
Well it looks as if Bill is once again going to just get his hands slapped. If it were any other company this would of been settled long ago, I guess if you have bottomless pockets to drag this on for as long as they have you'll always buy justice...

Can you provide any links? I'd like to check this out...
This shit is getting really old, I guess I better quit having freinds over to watch movies. Or have my neighbors put up blinds on their windows so I can't see their tv from accross the street. And as one/.er put it "what about rabbits?" Do you really beleive that people are going to go through that much trouble to redistribute this stuff????
It's getting really deep out here, I liken this to charging a grunt of murder in wartime or handing speeding tickets at the indy 500..
I just have to shake my head at what people try to sue over. Lindows and Windows was dumb enough, Crayon and Krayon was even dumber. What's next, is Cray going to sue Crayola Crayon next???
Just goes to show you that Microsoft hasn't learned a damn thing. I'm just at a loss for words to describe my disgust with Bill Gates and his "monopoly at all costs attitude". Seeing shit like this just pisses me off to no end....

I'm using two Cornerstone p1750 22" flat CRT monitors. After having these EVERYTHING is small ;)
