I can't speak for everyone, but to be completely honest, I found ilovebees to be incredibly dull. The puzzles were unimaginative, the stories somewhat weak, and the whole payphone concept (while unique) was very limited. (What's that? You live somewhere other than LA? Well screw you then!)
The worst part of the whole thing, however, was not unique to ilovebees - it occurs in any ARG that hits a certain size. It's what I like to call the 'exponential bullshit factor'. Essentially, it's the way that crackpot theories and moronic opinions feed off of each other in such a way that once the so-called 'community' hits a certain size, it's damn near impossible to glean any of the rare useful info from the mess.
The way it works is like this: some simpleton ("A") comes up with a theory that he feels is so obvious and true that there is no way it could be wrong. Usually, this theory is completely farfetched, with no basis in the game material whatsoever. "A" then starts several threads espousing his fantastic theory. Posters "B" through "F" then reply to this theory, either with their own convoluted crackpot theories or extensions to the original useless theory. "H" through "Z" then start posting their own crap, expanding "A"'s thread past 25 pages. "G", however, who actually had something intelligent to say, posted her comment on page 24 of the thread. So essentially, the only way to glean any useful information out of the crap is to read 25 pages of useless mindnumbing garbage.
Yet, for some reason, people seem to think this 25 pages of crap is an 'amazing exchange of ideas' and truly a community to be proud of...
Yeah, what the hell man? And why don't the characters ever stop to go to the bathroom? Or get tired from running everywhere? Or get dirty? Or lose chunks of flesh from being repeatedly hit with bladed weapons?
Come on, how am I supposed to escape reality if these games aren't totally realistic?
No, but I would think it's silly if you repeatedly spent time trying to convince the same group of people that gas costs too much and that they should get rid of their cars.
The c-stick barely qualifies as a stick. It's hard to use analog control when the top of the stick is tiny and the surrounding plastic tries to force the stick into the 8 main directions.
Oh, and one other thing: this is only a first step, it's not exactly expected to download your porn for you. Why don't you wait a bit to see what comes of it before you starting heckling its accuracy? Sheesh...
A bunch of my friends and I were looking for a programming project a while back, something to play around with. We decided to do just what these folks have done, and make a 3D Scorched Earth. Things didn't go quite as planned, and to make a long story short, I ended up making a prototype on my own over the course of a couple days.
There's not much to it, it was just a venue for me to play around with a few things I'd never tried before, but feel free to check it out anyways. It's at my page, inside the projects section. Be sure to let me know what you think!
You're probably thinking of Majestic, by EA. It was cancelled after only a few months due to limited sales.

Dante? (Probably the most famous new character this generation)
Who?

A port to GameCube is unlikely, as the game itself is controlled almost entirely via the two analog sticks... and GameCube controllers only have one.
*ahem* If I might interject one word:
REDUNDANCY.
Thank you.

My apologies, seems my server suddenly got case sensitive... it should work now.
Windows has been done - check out my page inside the projects section.
