The universe seems to be about 2/3 through it's star forming period. So assuming the universe has been around for about 14 billion years, there is still some 7 billion years or so of star formation left. Can anyone of you get your arms around even 1 billion years of time? Hell, the human race even if it is extremely lucky will probably only last another few thousand years. That is a mere drop in the bucket of the universe's age. So, what the hell's the point of this post?
Here in Missouri, we use a paper ballot that you just darken a box for your selection. It is then read by a machine and tallyed. Pretty simple! Also, there is a paper ballot to fall back on if there is a recount or any problems. Until electronic voting becomes more secure and foolproof, I think this is the best possible procedure.
The simplest way to stop corporate tax cheating (read that dodging!), is to apply a flat tax on corporate earnings. The money corporations would save by not having to employ an army of lawyers and accountants would go a long way towards recouping their higher tax rates. Also, the flat tax rate on corporations could be lower which would benefit smaller corporations who cannot afford the lawyer/accountant armies.
I have an idea, why doesn't the U.S. and other western countries apply a tarrif against any product from China that is made by workers making 75% or less of the U.S. minimum wage? This would raise a powerful middle class in China which may, just may, be able to challenge all the B.S. censorship their Communist leaders/overloards are heaping on them! I know this sounds idealistic, but, don't 2/3rds or so of the worlds population diserve better?

Air rifles are not quite that safe. They are now used to hunt deer. I, personally, have an air rifle that, if shot directly towards someones heart, will likely kill them! So, please, don't spread the false belief that air rifles are harmless!!!

$100/month? My cable speed is 28 Mbs for around $60/month. I guess my Charter cable subscription is quite a deal!!! I actually do speed tests now and then and they range from about 14 Mbs to over 100 Mbs. I get flawless 1080i movies etc. from Netflix. I guess I should consider myself very lucky!
It all boils down to this; Mr. Cathy is a dumba$$. What company owner, corporate CEO, etc would intentionally insult half or more of their potential customers? Hey, he's a jerk, just stop eating at Chick-Fil-A!!!
I heard this video was on youtube, but, when I went to watch it I couldn't! This caused me great distress. At one point I even contemplated suicide! Are there any lawyers out there on/. willing to help me sue Scripps Local News for $1 billion in damages? I think that is more than fair! These scumbags will only stop their abuse if they have to pay monetary damages. I'm sure there are plenty of other "distressed" would be viewers out there who could do the same. Maybe we could file a class action suit in excess of $5 billion!!!!
Could it just be that the tablet market, such as it is, is just saturated? I mean I can surf the net on my phone if I need to, but, if I want to really see anything, I use my laptop or desktop.
I am very disturbed about seeing all the posts that say "this teenager should be allowed his free speech rights". What if the olympic athlete decided, because of this very distasteful, moronic tweet, to take his own life? Would everyone still be supporting his "free speech" rights? Hateful remarks are powerful. They can cause the target of such remarks great pain. I'm sure that if the "teenager involved" is found guilty of anything, he may recieve a slap on the wrist and a stern "don't do that again" from the authorities. I believe a better punishment would be to publish the name and address, both internet and physical, so that the aggrieved party or some of his/her more adament supporters could look this kid up and beat the living cra*p out of him. Next time he may be a little more sensitive about the trash he twits!!!!
