While I have no real facts to back this up, I would think that the innovative process requires new materials to create new ideas. Through the ages we learned and invented as we discovered new metals and other materials. I am betting that when / if we do discover some new materials in significant quantities that are useful we'll come up with new uses for them.
So when someone comes out with transparent steel or something I'll be able to invent some cool stuff.
I also feel like science fiction movies have sort of spoiled the 'wow' factor of a good majority of innovations. "Great, so you made a cell phone. It's not a communicator I can wear on my shirt... and talk to outer space with" - That's a rough example but it is an illustration of the point I was trying to convey.

The REAL problem with technology on every level is that the MAJORITY of 'Techies' are douchebags, with a massively narrow viewpoint and feel like they are better than everyone else because their opinion is correct. YOU sir are the problem with technology, not I. I embrace technology, I LOVE technology. I can do anything I need to do with any OS, any machine, any interface. I am not limited by what I feel comfortable with.
Barely run minesweeper? You're a moron. I think in this day and age A N Y T H I N G released by nVidia is going to be FAR better than any old intel piece of trash that currently FLOOD the market in every even remotely reasonably priced portable device.
You have a laptop that can play skyrim maxed out in 1080p? Awesome, I bet you spent more than $1,000 US on it. A 10 inch tablet doesn't *have* to run 1080p to look great and be smooth. The price for the power AND portability in my eyes, is pretty spectacular.
I applaud Razer for their efforts in bringing the console feel to PC power. Go back into your cave...
I'd buy this... I think it is a brilliant idea, especially with the Steam 'Big Picture' which I think would look splendid on a touch device. Controller based gameplay is not going away anytime soon, and to be able to integrate a controller in way that is functional yet doesn't melt your hands is awesome in my book.

For now a perma-brick would be the most cost effective solution, and the fastest to address the issue stated above. A complete re-tooling would be required to come up with a 'better' solution.
Meh, maybe... I'd rather have it permanently bricked with the uncertainty of return in play, than recoverable and the potential to never get it back.

I despise the 'Witch Hunt" style analysis of the affect(or is it effect?) of video games on children. That's like the 'church' in medieval times saying things were bad just to say they were bad. I'm sure they said 'Studies find that....' right before they sentenced someone to death too...
The point here is, video games are n o t t h e p r o b l e m. The problem is the lack of familial support for the nations troubled children / adults. Families are far more detached now than they have ever been... I think this perpetuates crime and violence through lack of guidance.
That's my two cents.
