Honestly I would just be scared to drive one if *all* other vehicles on the road were not exactly the same. Think about what would happen if you pulled out in front of a Hummer, or a Semi. They'd have to pull out the fine toothed comb just to gather bits and pieces of you to send along to your family.
And yes, I stand by my statement. You can't whine about patent wars in one thread and praise a patent war in another, hypocrisy reigns supreme. (Not you personally, just you in general)
All parties are guilty in all situations, when everyone realizes that and stops picking on any particular company as the 'bad guy' I'll be a happy camper.
Sure, of course nobody is forcing me to read anything. This argument is almost as dead a horse as the article itself.
I *want* to read articles on slashdot, because I generally find them interesting. In *this* particular case I have seen enough, and I am sure that a lot of people feel the *exact* same way. Go troll someone else' posts.
Just tired of all the drama. If I wanted to see drama I'd watch ANY tv channel. I come to slashdot for news and information that is relevant, and something I probably didn't already know, and drama is something I know exists and don't need to be reminded of daily on the site I go to 'get away' from all of the other nonsensical BS out there.
It would appear they've been tapering off their shipments of displays for while. This really should not shock anyone, aside from the fact that everyone knows Samsung hates Apple, companies move to where the components are priced where they want them to be all the time. Nothing to see here, move along.
I remember back in the day, a guy predicted an earthquake . There was a lot of press and stress and worry. It didn't happen.
If it *had* happened, this guy would've been a hero (and perhaps not died of a heart attack the next year after being ridiculed by the media ).
There should be a standards group who outlines guidelines for earthquake warnings (if that really were possible), rather than a crackpot scientist here or there releasing reports to the wild via unfiltered channels whether it be an affirmation of an earthquake or not.
That seems logical... from the AP standpoint having a low signal device trying to get its share of time can drag down the performance of the rest of the connections to the AP. If your phone is the only or one of the only devices connecting then it wouldn't matter(as much). A lot of times the AP will continually kick low signal devices if the threshold is set even marginally strict, so that it doesn't have to degrade the connectivity of the faster connections.
If you're on a low power device across the house from the router, investigating an option like the one above in your router settings might help you out.
Also, inversely you may be 'too close'. If you've got your tablet laying on top of your wireless router you might consider lowering power across both the device (if possible) and the router/AP (likely possible) to keep the signal from being too intense for it to efficiently communicate.
As with anything if you do it enough you'll get a 'feel' for where everything is. I don't look at the keyboard intently when typing, though it is difficult not to see it at all because oddly enough it is right there on the screen.
The fact remains that, moderate typing speed discrepancy aside, they are not a fad and they're not going away anytime soon. The fact that PC speeds haven't dramatically increased in the past couple of years leads me to believe that companies will want to pour more R&D into areas where the market is moving, with very fast PC's readily available and relatively inexpensive (not to mention longer lasting now) people are spending their gadget dollars on other things, like tablets. That all being said this 'go-round' with tablets seems to me to be much more successful than previous iterations of the 'tablet'.
It may have been a fad in the past, but these days the tablet is making headway and I seriously doubt the PC community will pull together anything that could compete with the tablet.
We can't have nice things!
All I had to do to get an iPad was sell my Kidney?
I wonder how long I could live off of selling all my organs?
Bwahaha....
I would like the DRM Cracking Challenge.
It's no fun to just push out something someone else is already DRM-Free'ing... and why hurt their cause since it is probably the same that drives me?
With the 'Threw a tantrum'.
Didn't samsung just add a whole list of products to ITs patent infringement lawsuits?
Pot calling kettle, come in kettle.
Stop perpetuating the hate.

Hey Evil Kineval, I was talking about Patents, not wars.
Your analogy is flawed. People aren't dying, at least I hope not, over patents. The patent litigation is dumb regardless of whom is suing whom.
Don't be so serious.

Hey man, My assertions are as hairy as they come.
Bald assertions... pssh.
It's alright.
If anyone is on Google's side in this, you're a bloody hypocrite.
"This is different, blah blah" yeah shut up.
Something whose patent is not held by a douchebag.... obviously.
"You want to GIVE me death powder"
'I don't understand why just because [SSL is] prevalent, it should be free.'
This statement is one of those really douchebaggy things that douchebags douche out.
All of that being said, SSL needs to be replaced with something better anyway.

Not interested in politics either.

Please, for the love of all things good and holy STOP WITH THE APPLE V SAMSUNG POSTS!
o.O
I'm grumpy now.
They got the dates wrong?
Just tinkered with this for a few minutes, and aside from feeling slightly dizzy, this was an interesting physics demonstration.
*spoilers*
I particularly enjoyed strafing left or right and seeing the color spectrum (as you get closer to 100 orbs).
The sound / music is pretty relaxing... neat game(relatively speaking of course)!
Well said!
Give em' some exercise equipment, and tell em' to buck up and stop bein' a sissy.
You liked that one eh? =D
