Which one peddles lies about death panels, calls scientists liars, has a psychatrist who diagnoses the President on air, and says slavery and jim crow werent so bad?
I did see that section of the law. I-594 does not ban borrowing your friend's gun.
You're wrong, simple as that. You guys have been misquoting that bill for months now, taking 2 sentences out of context of a larger section and ignoring the rest of that section that proves you wrong.
The relevent text, ie, the ENTIRE section on temporary transfers:
(4) This section does not apply to: (a) A transfer between immediate family members, which for this subsection shall be limited to spouses, domestic partners, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, first cousins, aunts, and uncles, that is a bona fide gift; (b) The sale or transfer of an antique firearm; (c) A temporary transfer of possession of a firearm if such transfer is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to the person to whom the firearm is transferred if:....(i) The temporary transfer only lasts as long as immediately necessary to prevent such imminent death or great bodily harm; and....(ii) The person to whom the firearm is transferred is not prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law;
(d) Any law enforcement or corrections agency and, to the extent the person is acting within the course and scope of his or her employment or official duties, any law enforcement or corrections officer, United States marshal, member of the armed forces of the United States or the national guard, or federal official; Code Rev/AI:eab 9 I-2745.1/13 (e) A federally licensed gunsmith who receives a firearm solely for the purposes of service or repair, or the return of the firearm to its owner by the federally licensed gunsmith; (f) The temporary transfer of a firearm....(i) between spouses or domestic partners;....(ii) if the temporary transfer occurs, and the firearm is kept at all times, at an established shooting range authorized by the governing body of the jurisdiction in which such range is located;....(iii) if the temporary transfer occurs and the transferee's possession of the firearm is exclusively at a lawful organized competition involving the use of a firearm, or while participating in or practicing for a performance by an organized group that uses firearms as a part of the performance;....(iv) to a person who is under eighteen years of age for lawful hunting, sporting, or educational purposes while under the direct supervision and control of a responsible adult who is not prohibited from possessing firearms; or....(v) while hunting if the hunting is legal in all places where the person to whom the firearm is transferred possesses the firearm and the person to whom the firearm is transferred has completed all training and holds all licenses or permits required for such hunting, provided that any temporary transfer allowed by this subsection is permitted only if the person to whom the firearm is transferred is not prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law; or
(there was another subsection (g) after this, but it dealt with inheritance transfers)
if that were true, there are 3 possible scenarios that would occur: a) the rest of hte country would get on board the science train and we'd solve global warming in a heartbeat because...terrorists b) we'd convince the half of the country who's freaked out ignore ISIS and realize they arent actually a threat c) half the country would go into apolectic fits trying to choose between a or b
and that idiot just got re-elected to the senate, where he will now be in charge of the Environment and Public Works Committe, giving him direct oversight of the EPA, an agency he wants to kill.
he is the single worst science denier in the congress now that Broun is gone. he thinks Michael Cricton is a climate expert. no seriously, he called him as a "expert" witness at a committee hearing. he thinks the earth hasnt warmed. at all. in fact he says its the world's greatest hoax. he thinks scientists are secretive liars engaged in a conspiracy and wants to "shine a light” on scientist’s activities. he said that AGW is a myth because...the bible:
The Genesis 8:22 that I use in there is that ‘as long as the earth remains there will be seed time and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night.’ My point is, God’s still up there. The arrogance of people to think that we, human beings, would be able to change what He is doing in the climate is to me outrageous."
The man is dangerous....who who is more foolish? the fool? or the fools that all voted overwhelmingly for him?
You idiots have got to get it through your head that just because you don't like it doesn't mean its crap. The profits speak for themselves.
Your comments of "I cant help it if you people like their shit" is the tone of a critic with his head up his ass getting off on his own disdain for the idea of people having differieng opinions.
You are not dwelling in anything resembling reality, but rather your own fantasy composed of your own arrogance and conceit.
I disagree. TPM is nearly unwatchable now. AotC was better, by relying less on the talky talky bad actors. RotS was the best of the prequels by far, though all 3 are fairly dismal.
when i first saw it, yes the race was exciting. it was probably the high point of the film. now, the graphics are dated, and the bit hasnt held up that well.
there was never any reason to continue any story after RotJ. the story is complete.
Whether viewed as a set of three movies (the original) or 6, the story can essentially be described as Redemption of Darth Vader. That's where the emotional punch comes from: Not just the idea that good can triumph over evil, but that evil's seeming invincibiltyand inevitability is an illusion. That there is always hope no matter how far one has fallen redemption is in reach.
Hell, the most common trope the Star Wars universe is the idea of redeeming some character from the Dark Side, which is ultimately an allusion to, or inspired by, the character arc of Anakin/Vader.
So we should just ignore that the majority of it comes from a handful or two of nations? Chiefly the US, China, India, Europe, Canada....ie the first world nations and their industrial dependents?
a majority of nations account for a tiny fraction of emissions. and are still under the heading "developing economies". and are also among the fasted adopters of small scale solar and wind. they are not the problem.
good example is texas, which should be far more evenly split between the parties, but they have cities like Austin divied up so much that the blues are completely negated. and they control most state legislatures too, and are expanding control to more. the PACs are now networking into local elections too.
in many states, almost half the people have no representation, and the delegates make no attempt to appeal to them (unless desperate like Cochran recently was in his primary). its disgusting.
we need to eliminate congressional districts, make all primaries general open (ie, not party specific), and move to an instant runoff or or single transferable vote, or other similar voting system that achieves better proportional representation. only then can we start to fix this broken mess.
you're saying the arts have no value? Thats complete and utter bullshit. as is the notion that an arts degree will not yeild a return. further, the purpose of education is to be educated, not to get a job.
an educated populace is good for the nation. but people who only learn in order to work are little more than drones, which may be good for a business that wants wage slaves, but not so good for a free society with a government by, of, and for the people.
the for profits are notoriously shady. they were busted for rampant pell grant fruad just a few years ago. they are most definitely predatory in nature. They charge ridiculous tuitions and fees, more so than your typical actual college, and basically treat the students as a means to getting their hands on federal dollars via the student loans, and give them a worthless degree in return. And if you've got something like the GI Bill as well, theyll suck that dry too.
funny enough, airlines used to be regulated like one.
deregulation only made them worse, not better.
Correct. They don't need approval.
They can do pretty much anything they want within their mandate.
The problem is that mandate can be changed by Congress.
Bingo.
Obama's taking a stance garuntees the new Congress will push legislation to break the internet.
See? That's what we call Projection which is a form of denial of reality.
Which one peddles lies about death panels, calls scientists liars, has a psychatrist who diagnoses the President on air, and says slavery and jim crow werent so bad?
Nothing you just stated was factual.

Thou shalt not speak ill of the original Battlestar Galactica!
*hums the theme to himself while hugging himself and rocking back and forth*
Man of Steel has one glaring flaw.
No John Williams theme.
That is an unforgivable sin.
