    The pricing just needs to be more accurate, not aggressive. In fact, your Tesla Powerwall would work much better if the electricity provider would tell you accurate pricing for the next 24 hours, so you could optimize when to charge and when to provide back to the grid.

    The power company can suck it if they think they can control my appliances.

    They don't have to. They just have to tell me what electricity is going to cost for the next 24 hours, and my smart appliances will find an optimum between price and comfort.

    You know, like what happened along the US east coast in the 1980's and 90's when the "sea level will be 20ft higher" by 1990 and 2000'.

    No, I don't know any scientific data from the 1980's and 90's that predicted a 2 ft/year sea level rise. Please add your references.

    Unfortunately, the image quality is so shitty that the high resolution and low compression are completely wasted. It could easily been converted to a 2GB version without visible loss in quality.

  21. I saw the movie in the theater in 1977, and I don't remember what it said. I wouldn't trust someone else's memory either. Eyewitness testimony isn't very reliable after decades, especially not when exposed to different versions of the events at later times.

    But for the 16-256kB amounts we're talking about, it's usually SRAM, which requires very little power, and is on-chip.
