    Sidearm isn't used until shit gets really ugly and you didn't have time to fix your bayonet. It's a damned near useless trinket these days except for a few specialized outfits. Military keeps considering whether or not to ditch them entirely. I think they keep them just because 'that's how we've always done it'. Kinda like how they chose the powder for the rounds originally sent out with the M-16.

    Rock salt in a shotgun? Cute. Why not just fart in their general direction?

    From your description, UK firms most certainly can go bankrupt in the US sense. Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizes the ongoing business of the company, and chapter 7 bankruptcy is a liquidation of the company.

    So... Sounds like it's just a word/name/vocabulary difference.

    It's not so much being nice to each other. Fox and MSNBC employees seem to loathe each other from what I've read. The issue is that the businesses are looking at something more long term than todays viewership. Sure, CNN kicking Fox while it is down will help improve ratings tonight. The problem is when the current administration is no longer in power. If beating on Fox is ok now, you can bet beating on CNN will be ok in the future. This is merely the networks acting out of fear of mutually assured destruction.

    They appear to be getting pounded in UK, though that has not yet reached this side of the Atlantic..

    Until they are getting pounded in PMITA prison, they are not really being pounded. One can only hope that someday they will enjoy three hots and a cot at a quality 'reformatory'.

    I agree with you about the racial thing. I only mentioned it because of the race issue in the cases that got jury nullification eliminated.

    As far as no cases going to trial, you are correct. But if jury nullification were well known (or made well known) ones odds in a trial would improve and so more would opt for it.

    Note that the state of Hawaii only has "federal" highways on the island of Oahu. Other islands are unaffected, save for paying federal gas tax that doesn't directly benefit them.

    Those federal highway taxes have prevented the people of Hawaii from being bombed again by the Germans for decades.

    I can't believe nobody has trotted out the hoary tale about white defendants being let off by a white jury for killing black people. It's never pointed out that in modern jurisprudence, the descendants of those same wronged blacks would likely be let off for petty drug offenses by black juries.

    I assumed the job posting at the time might be for a Red Tails tie-in game, but it apparently wasn't that.

    With the target demo, it would have made sense to make a version for the Xbox, not computers.
