Some of the best web developers prefer Safari (including me) while others work with Chrome. Until recently, Safari was by far the fastest standards-based browser available. Chrome finally caught up and now a days speed differences are altogether arbitrary.
This is a *social* problem. Someone once said it was the *only* problem. I can't remember who said it, but will attempt to paraphrase: "If every person ceased to convince others of 'truth' without it being instilled within themselves, then all the world's problems will cease to exist."
Point being that if it's instilled in you, have no reason to convince anyone else.
I'd like to think that more people would have an idea of what is actually in these fluids. There is a lot of information out there. Don't say "BUT.. BUT... THE COMPANIES DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW WHATS IN THEM!" because that's not necessarily the case.
On/., I see a large misunderstanding of what literature and art is.
"More—oh, so much more—is needed than the mere saying, 'I like honey and milk better than meat and wine' or 'I like girls who are plump and fair better than those who are slim and dark.' That is why so much of modern autobiographical and confessional writing is dull beyond words. Even impertinence will not save our essays upon ourselves from being tedious—nor will shamelessness in the flaunting of our vices. Something else is required than a mere wish to strip ourselves bare; something else than a mere desire to call attention to ourselves. And this 'something else' is genius, and genius of a very rare and peculiar kind. It is not enough to say, 'I am this or that or the other.' The writer who desires to give a convincing picture of what he is must diffuse the essence of his soul not merely into his statements about himself but into the style in which these statements are made."
tldr
"The essential matter is that what we experience in regard to the new touch, the new style, should be a personal and absorbing plunge into an element which we feel at once to have been, as it were, 'waiting' to receive us with a predestined harmony."
Thanks for this, PR. I've been working remotely in South and Latin America for the past four years but have since been reminiscing of my travels throughout the Mediterranean. The only thing that was preventing me from relocating was EU visa. Your input is invaluable.
As an ex-pat working remotely, there's one thing I can't stress enough: your network back home. Don't put all your eggs in one basket; if work dries up from one source, you should have at least half a dozen other options to tap.
Three quarters of the Mensa members I know use Facebook.
Mensa is club for moderately stupid people who have altogether failed at life and need to sustain a false sense of self worth. Anyone who is willing to join a club for this will likely use Facebook for the same purpose.
I know a lot of *very* smart and intelligent people, and the vast majority of them are on Facebook too.
No. No, you don't. No one intelligent uses Facebook for *personal* use.
Seriously Slashdot, get the fuck over yourself - this ignorant bias against anyone who uses Facebook doesn't make you intelligent, it makes you look like a jackass.
I agree with you, but as you stated, *some* things are. The point that the OP is trying to make is that if corporations can play on the global market, then so should the consumers. I should be able to purchase that VW in Mexico and import it without bleeding through the nose in taxes and surcharges.
Sometimes it is. For example, if you were to purchase some VW models in Mexico, you'll find the base cost to be significantly cheaper than in the U.S.A.
You are thief. If I pay you an hourly wage and you goof off I might as well flush that cash down the toilet. Grow up and get to work! With a high unemployment rate it you should be happy you have a job and your boss can easily replace you with someone else with better ethics.
I had a link from one of my favorite speakers Larry Winget who wrote "Shut up! Stop whinning and go get a life!". The link is dead but he talks about this. You are being paid to service the customer. You can goof off on your own time but not theirs or mine if I am your manager.
Before I get modded down I have to ask does any other boss think different? Work is work man. I think working at McDonalds afterwards will scare you into an attitude adjustment on how bad life can be. This happened to me after I fucked up and went on slashdot and was shown the door. These days I know better.
The best way to stay on task is to focus on what is the most important and keep yourself super busy. There is always somethign you can do and you need to work past mental exhaustion as that is what you are paid to do. Do this every day and you will get promoted. It is pretty simple and what workers in India and China do. Companies hire them not because they are cheap but because they are committed and work very hard to make sure all goals are achieved and not quit at 5:01.
From Billy's Blog:
"Speaking of jobs. Mine will officially be gone by the end of spring.:-(
23 million dollar budget cuts forced aides such as myself to leave even if its in a child's IEP report. My wife may loose her job too."
You will have three companies implementing their own version of webkit. This is no way comparable to Microsoft and IE9. At worst, this is a healthy consequence of the unified web and web standards that makes massive corporations buckle to open source solutions like webkit.
Do you really remember the days of IE5?

Income is not wealth.

The only way I will accept a tax is if it's a direct taxation towards making it as public utility.
According to this article ( http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-12-03/hazardous-air-pollutants-detected-near-fracking-sites.html ), they have found large amounts of dichloromethane in the air samples. It doesn't sound like they're being as honest as you state.
MM. Pour me a pint of Propargyl Alcohol.

I had thought TV was dead.
"The data included email addresses belonging to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, New York Times CEO Janet Robinson, ABC's Diane Sawyer, movie producer Harvey Weinstein, former White House chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel and numerous others." http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9237685/Judge_ignores_leniency_plea_hands_AT_T_hacker_a_41_month_sentence?taxonomyId=17&pageNumber=1
Not really "regular" people.

What options are there? I can only see two best case scenarios:
Mensa is club for moderately stupid people who have altogether failed at life and need to sustain a false sense of self worth. Anyone who is willing to join a club for this will likely use Facebook for the same purpose.
No. No, you don't. No one intelligent uses Facebook for *personal* use.
You sound insecure.
Specifically: Mali, Mauritania, Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Ghana.

You didn't but the OP had. You can substitute a developing country of your choice with either China and India, and his argument still applies.

Sounds like you need to be fired.

Thanks for the info. I only remember taking a look at Prince when they first started.
Better and free: You can generate PDFs by installing qtwebkit http://trac.webkit.org/wiki/QtWebKit.
You will have three companies implementing their own version of webkit. This is no way comparable to Microsoft and IE9. At worst, this is a healthy consequence of the unified web and web standards that makes massive corporations buckle to open source solutions like webkit.

re-implementing printf() doesn't cost you extra bandwidth.
Gzip?
If it's legible, extendable, and follows best practices than power to you.
Post your bug reports or it didn't happen.
