I don't question the validity of their information. If their information wasn't valid, then companies wouldn't sue to have it taken down the way they have been. They'd be going with anti-defamation suits. They haven't been.
This is an unusual case of patent law, not because of any supposed trolling, but because it's a superb example of how patent law was always meant to be used.
After reading the article (both of them), I would put it squarely on her as there is no way (if there was more traffic at the time of the accident) he could have avoided hitting her.
