  1. Only because Apple made the procedure hard in the first place.

Replacement batteries for other phones are often $5, and easy enough to replace that there's no chance to damage the phone.

And there still is an extremely high chance that the cheap Chinese knock-off you bought will blow up sooner rather than later. https://www.howtogeek.com/172680/danger-why-you-shouldnt-buy-cheap-third-party-batteries-for-laptops-or-smartphones/. But hey, you get what you deserve.

  2. if anything I only see my battery get stronger over time!

that is the sort of dumb shit I would expect an apple fanboy to say.

But unsurprisingly to everyone else, a Fandroid said it.

Hey moron, we all have been talking about batteries maximum charge degrading with usage - have you not noticed? Are you a truly fucking imbecile? Do us all a favour, go for a quickcharge on a high voltage line.

There already is a notification in iOS (and macOS) about degraded battery life. They just maybe need to change the thresholds on when that is displayed a bit...

If they did, the same people complaining now would whine that Apple forced people to replace a still working battery.

  9. Why would it be difficult? More than 150 states are not harmonized with EU and they seem to do fine.

That is because it mostly only matters when you are dealing with someone close.

When I deal with Germany or the UK it is a different matter. Then I known that if I put the order in before 16pm on their time they will have it packed the same day so I can get it delivered to me the next day.

You know what's odd about that story? Germany and the UK are one hour apart.

There's a little wheel-reinvention in Launchpad. If we set aside its iOS-based design and interaction, it's strikingly similar to Apple's At Ease environment in System 7, except that it isn't a replacement for the Finder like At Ease was. It's more of an add-on, like the System 7.5 Launcher was, augmenting the Dock and Finder.
