I worked 40+ hours a week while getting my cs degree in college, starting at 18-22. I was able to just put most of the college into loans and my minimum wage job basically only paid for food, gas, books. At 26 if you can not get loans to cover it , it might be much harder. You can take part time classes and spread the cost over more than 4 years, but I would only go this route if its something you really want. At 26 most companies will only let you code for a short time after anyway as old developers are looked down upon. You might want this degree in something other than CS
Microsoft doesn't realize most people use windows because they are familiar with it, once you start changing it like this people will explore options like Apple, Linux, etc.. to compare against the 'New Windows' and might move from Windows to something else entirely. They should have made this metro as a new option you can toggle on and off and let their users gradually into it - not force it upon them
I use mostly opensuse now, tried Mint and hated it, Fedora was bland (several versions ago). I am going to try Mageia soon, it seems to be rising in popularity fast
under these conditions (a) you outlaw public displays of religion in all countries so I do not have to hear or have your religion forced upon me (2) you outlaw Jihad in all countries and any activity linked to terrorism and (3) all counties must respect and treat all religions equally as well as Atheism
otherwise my blasphemy rates will rise with this law
I work in a company where the Datacenter , not developers deploys to test and production and they get it wrong a high % of the time. So yes. The datacenter employees don't even understand the server software or database involved , yet they control deployments. Its a nightmare
the problem with this is that most websites have tons of embedded content and links/images from other sites, so if you just whitelist one domain the domains it links to (some of which might also be owned by that company, and some not) will be blocked and the content might look malformed
use opendns, and if its a school machine you can lock down dns with admin rights and secure wireless connection. If you give the wireless key openly though or allowed users to connect using their own devices, then there is not much you can do - you can work around any network level protection out there
my thoughts exactly, Microsoft has always been on a thin line with me, now that they pull this stuff It will cost them a lot of business. Its almost like they are trying to help Apple take over the market
turn in your bibles everyone, they cause more violence than any video game or movie

LOL
new law, you are only allowed to draw rainbows and unicorns now. wait a min, just rainbows - that unicorn can be used as a weapon
there is no real purpose to any single core machines these days, I will not even buy a tablet unless its dual core
like they talked to every man to know who is the happiest
since when does greed have to be harmful (that point aside some things should be not used until proven safe, not the other way around)
in the end the best thing to benefit Microsoft's competition will not be anything they did but the dumb things Microsoft did
I guess nothing stops the quest for greed

does this mean we have to pay them the copyright

the same way you do with closed source software, having a good business model, product ideas and customer base is important. Software is just software
