    If you don't find people, either you are writing bad adverts or not paying enough. If an advert starts with engineer or technician instead of system or network admin, I dont even open it.

    I second that. It is estimated as much of 40% are actually fake adverts. And in my local market, I already have picked up a few firms how are clearly abusing it and not hiding it quite well.

    Easy answer. Plausible deniability. They dont want the system to be too perfect, so when it fails, they can blame someone or something else.

    Nah, they are building an war chest, and create critical mass volume and precedents on law to go after some bigger fish. However, they dont want to mess with people with vast resources, that have more to gain taking them to court then settling.

    I meant without study. Like, for instance, the huge difference in mentalities in just one decade. In the film Total Recall, in the old one the technician one with a coat lab, and already someone with some age and experience, in the new one, just a young person with a salesman and BS aura.

    Shit movie, and people still but the songs? My dog...well, actually I am forgetting people see idols too. I personally find Glee BORING and ridiculous. And the idea that Glee (and so many other shows) create that "perfection" can be obtained with study, training and effort is what also explains the sad state of affairs this society is atm.

    Hardware qualifications nowadays is akin to janitor work, and coding is an ungrateful job, and good luck finding one hacking some code without formal training and no UML or data structures background. I agree with whoever said you will be needing more schooling.

    I cant get it. I have programmed in C for years, and could swear by now every library/header would be using 64-bit (long) time_t by now. But indeed I just tried an example program and it is indeed still 32-bits time_t for 32-bit linux. Stupid, what are they waiting for?

    As far as I am aware, only old Unix computers still use 32-bit time_t vars...

    In here, it happens to have pickpockets or some small luggage theft in the short hauls of a train trip, or if you happen to forget your luggage at the end of the trip. Drug addicts normally enter the train when people is leaving, and if you leave *anything* behind, you will never see it again. Once a friend of mine lost a fur coat this way.

    It is a question of culture. Apparently in Japan they take pride into their job and be very focused and *very* specialized in the niche they work on, always striving to improve all their life, while for instance in Africa they dont know jackass about most things, but think or try to do most of them, including applying for jobs which they arent qualified for.
