    Actually I see a variation on this. A truck drives down the street drones come out to delver to places in a mile square block. When they return, the truck drives a mile and repeats the process.

    Anything in the RK-9000, RK-9100 series. Actually any Rosewill keyboard, but those are the mechanical keyboards.

    As I pointed out before, I know two states other then Illinois are on the list. I remember them to be NY and NC, but could be wrong. Slo if it does ship to NC check with a zip like 60610 ( Chicago ),

    When cops freak out because they are being recorded, people go all ballistic. Yes I agree that you should be able to record cops doing their job, but until they get used to it, I don't blame them for being upset.

    When it's you being recorded, then that is a whole different case.

  8. As many of you should know, Rosewill is the house brand for NewEgg.
    A few years ago they started selling fairly decent quality mechanical keyboards ( not as good as some high end keyboards, but certain good quality ).
    Almost everything on these keyboards is repairable. If a keyswitch breaks you can buy a new a new one and solder it in. If the controller breaks you can replace it.
    Even if the pc board breaks, you can get a "phontom" pc board and reuse the parts and the case.

    What you cannot do is purchase it from NewEgg in Illinois and two other states ( NC and NY IIRC ). Why because of the ewaste regulations. So you can buy a cheap keyboard that breaks in six months and basically has to be thrown out, but you cannot buy a keyboard that is meant to last ten years and even then be repaired.

    These are the kind of laws that the weirdo environmental groups push.

    Actually I think it is easier now then back then.
    But I agree that it is hard for nonprofessionals to get access to materials. That's one of the major reasons I support open publishing.

    Well, google can offer two options.
    Join and get paid.
    After we take you down, post it again but this time no ads and therefore no money.
    You can still show your videos all you want.
    Google does not have to pay their price for showing their videos.

    Ex-system. You watch a video with add artist get compensated.

    New system: Non-subscriber watches video, artist gets compenstated from ad. Same price.
                                            Subscriber watches video, artist gets compensated from subscription.
    Unless the second is less then the first, I do not see what the compaint is.

    On Windows, BitLocker is just as secure as TrueCrypt. Well, assuming there are no massive unintended flaws in BitLocker.

    Consiring that MS tends to release software with "unintended" flaws numbering in the thousands, that eases my mind about the security of bitlocker.

    Close but no cigar. Basically it's between chroot and a VM.

    IT uses the same loadecd kernel as the host but is isolated by the host ( using cgroups and namespaces ).

    Not if you are a web hosting service that has to keep ruby 1.8 around for some clients and ruby 1.9 for others, and can't let the two interact.

    The initial ads were run the year after the Janet Jackson incident and I thought were quite funny. The problem is that they didn't have the sense to stop when the joke ran it's course.

    There choice in representatives did not impress me either. Dannica Patrick was given the best cars and the best pit crews and seemed to consistently underperform.
    Sort of a racing version of Carly FIorina.
