That's not quite accurate. When people got IE for free people still didn't want it. What then happened is that MS bundled it with 98, then people were forced to use it.

It was after people were forced to use it that it took off.

In other words ( wait for it ) MS couldn't give IE away, they had to force you to take it.

I recently got a chance to see "The Sting". Actually I cam across it and kept watching. Forgot what a good movie it was.

In the movie.there were two types of con men. Grifters, small time conmen, who would do things like trick you into giving them your wallet to hold while you went to the bathroom, and those who played in the "Big Con". Guys who would convince you to hand over house and life savings.

The reason I'm a Republican is simple:
Republicans are grifters, but Democrats are the experts of the Big Con. They don't even do it for themselves, they get you to do it for them. Then they get you to believe it was a really great idea.

  20. .That is something that drivers tend to miss about bicyclists. They are seated much higher, so often can see more cross traffic sooner.

The thing I think is essential is the bicyclist coming to a full foot on the ground stop. a start from such can be slow and awkward and causes more discomfort among every one involved, the bicyclist, the cars whgo do not have the right of way.
