    Saying TV causes hyperactivity is not very concerete. There's no proof. What about kids who go out and play and are hyperactive? This statement is a causal relationship that blames one thing on another without the thousands of other factors that bring things like ADD along.

    Next we'll be saying that all people who have certain colour skin or are from certain places are X because of who they are.

    .. which it very well may. How will Novell react? Ms likes to react by changing their API so only they can use it. Novell, selling their server software as server software more than an OS to develop a lot on. Will Novell cut down on their licensing fees? Will they try to take legal action?

    After owning a bit of sony hardware (phones and audio equpit.) and checking out Consumer Reports, they are third in defective hardware. Is this going to be a shot to the proverbial foot for Transmeta?

    I'd rather IBM or someone more dependable. Hey, Panasonic can get into the laptop market, no? =)

    How about releasing libraries so that others can create their own clients. At least they won't have to release the source to their "holy protocol" and we can have our own custom apps. A libyahoo that everybuddy can use that wasn't reverse engineered.

    The games where the system didn't just come out, had some pretty good endings. Of course zelda's ending sucked, and so did mario brothers.. but as the system stuck around, the endings did get better. Unfortunately, newer systems are coming out all the time. Gotta use the system's new capabilities than using your imagination...

    Doing something totally unrelated helps. Sorta lets your mind work in the background and relax in the foreground. Take a 30 minute break and enjoy outside; get yourself a cup of coffee 15 blocks away. Its like tip-of-the-tongue effect.. the answer is always in sight.. sometimes you have to let it come to you.

    Its amazing how much thinking you can get done while you aren't thinking.

    Um, IPv6 has been everpresent in 4.x. its usable as an install feature in 4.1 for the first time. if you wanted ipv6 in 4.0, you needed to recompile, which for any fbsd'er.. is not normal. Most curren't fbsd'ers might cvsup to newest sources..

    You can get your favourite songs, the equivalent of multiple cd's on single tapes. Not the greatest thing, i know. I wouldn't imagine the kickback to be as high.

    You can buy imported blanks

    You can follow kearbear's suggesetion (its in this thread) of using streamstripper...

    Heck, record your faourite songs off the radio. Write a letter to the RIAA that you are doing so until further notice etc etc... it sounds like a plan that needs a website and a LOT of supporters/petitioners...

    Its the only way to hear the artists you like. There doesn't seem to be much alternative to the RIAA.. the bastards
