For a company who has a main focus of large-scale parallel processing, I find it funny that they describe their graphics processor as "unparalleled"
("the unparalleled VProTM 3D graphics system for IRIX®")
this guy had 3 old computers laying around and wanted to get mentioned on slashdot. he made up some sob story about UPS (everyone's favorite scapegoat) and took his sledgehammer to the cases (and a tupperware container for good measure). C'mon, $5000 worth of equipment and no insurance??
XSLT support is checked into the mozilla tree, using a 3rd party contributed tool called Transformiiix. The tool is being integrated into the rest of the XML code, but that integration is not yet complete, because there are other things of higher priority they need to work on. You can help by reading the netscape.public.mozilla.layout.xslt newsgroup, and getting involved.
" The Mozilla binaries combined with the iPlanet Personal Security Manager binaries will implement SSL support; S/MIME support will be available sometime in the future when S/MIME integration with Mozilla is completed." - mozillaZine.org
So, the hooks will be there, and there will be a binary implementation given away. So, when does that RSA patent expire again?
I had the same reaction to the prize issue. I was wondering if circular references were a design pattern:)
But, realize that it's a $50 gift certificate to amazon (the $ amount wasn't mentioned in the post), and that the author of the book is sponsoring the contest. The author wants to create a buzz around the contest, so he gives away a book. Also remember that finding design patterns is as easy as searching the m10 source code for key words, such as singleton:)
This is a bug with the cache and the network library. They are in the process of rewriting all of the networking code, and that rewrite should be the default within a week or so. If you clear your cache, the images show up.
type conversion rounding error in slashdot story causes $.5 billion in damages...
"on this Southern Indiana's man love of roller coasters"
Southern Indiana has "man love" for roller coasters? mmmmmmmm, man love.

and a PowerTower is a "workhorse"?!
Note that this is not an "officially blessed" mozilla.org release. This is a release by a third party, on the mozdev web site.

Why don't ice crystals form on this and break it?
As far as the layout engine, the linux version is on track with win32.
There will be a wysiwyg xml ui creation tool real soon now my: Xultool
Why don't you post it one more time on the front page? I don't think enough people have heard about it yet.
But seriously, how much 'checking around' did you do, and what did you 'find out'? hmmm?

There is an option to use from the Debug menu, when you run viewer.
