Any of the countries with space launch capability could ruin the party. It was pointed out years ago that a vehicle loaded with ball bearings can be sent around the Moon and back toward Earth, releasing a load of shrapnel which would sweep across all Earth-based orbits. Fortunately, space is big. Really big. So the damage would be spread out over time, depending upon how large the attack is.

Digital TV is also a problem for that guy. He's collecting stories from people complaining that the switch from analog to digital TV affected them. These people are complaining about things which happened after the DTV switchover. They don't realize the DTV signals have been around for years, and the only thing that happened on that date was the turning off of analog TV transmitters.

So they're actually claiming to have problems due to less electromagnetic radiation. I wonder how badly they're affected by cats or synthetic shirts.

2400 feet is not high in the atmosphere. 2400 feet is similar to the height of the newly created world's tallest building, so construction obviously will be somewhat challenging. But in the scale of the atmosphere, 24,000 or 48,000 feet would be more impressive. But even those are routine for thunderstorm convection, so are hardly unusual.
