This also helps avoid submarine patients. Before the change you could keep a patient tied up for years all the while the invention comes into common use. It gets issued and blame, your in the money.
It almost seems like you are not doing statistics as much as creating reports from data. Maybe you should be using a database instead of a spreadsheet or a statistics program. The Uber geek way would be to set up a LAMP server and create a webased system. The more convent way would be something like Access. You can then use Excel to manipulate the data as needed or the database program.
In the end if you know excel you may want to stick with it. I see people use Excel for databases all the time. Drives me a bit nuts but sometimes what ever works is just fine.
Funny but I could have told them this decades ago. I have a learning disability but can read very well as long as I don't have to read out loud. I also have a terrible time reading anything in all upper case.
I have thought a about doing the same for a SOHO set up. One thing I thought about doing is running the switch from the/Router/NAS power supply instead of it's wall wort. If you could fit it into a 5"1/4 inch bay you could have a pretty clean looking setup. The big question would come down to power use. Would it use more power than a separate router/switch+NAS or more. It would be more flexible for sure.
This seems like a really foolish thing for a convicted monopoly to do. I could see a clear case being made that Microsoft is leveraging their postion in the PC market to dominate in the mobile phone market. That and the NDAs alone should really get the justice department hopping mad. Well that and an election and the fact that Google is more loved than Microsoft and people are in a "mega corps bad" mood these days and an election is coming.
"It's actually about 350 feet long. DOUCHEBAG." Actually the Ohio class is 560 feet long you are thinking SSNs and that is why I said roughly. I was off by roughly a football field as I thought they where around 3 football fields long but they are only around two....
Maybe you should get out of 8th grade before you post on slashdot. My post was that they where living in a small area with a reactor, explosives, and sometimes nuclear warheads. You just pointed out that I under estimated just how small it was..... AKA my error and your less than completely accurate correction do not in anyway invalidate my point.
A lot of ITX stuff is used in industry. PS/2 KVMs are cheap and common as dirt. RS-232 can go much farther than USB and is also super common. Some machine tools still run DOS it is realtime and makes sense for some dedicated controllers and use the Centronics port to interface to hardware.
Imagine that you have a perfectly good $20,000 CNC machine that has a blown controller.... Nice to have a simple pop in replacement. It is all about the market you are in. You still see RS-232, PS/2, and VGA on server motherboards a lot for the same reason.
Actually the only thing I would rather see is the serial port be brought out to an internal header like the printer port is. Here is a link to how to build your own IR receiver to use with LIRC http://www.lirc.org/receivers.html And one for transmitters as well http://www.lirc.org/transmitters.html
This was only in reference to attempts not to feeling like you want to. There are just to many ways that one can kill themselves that any failed attempt says more to a desire to not die than luck. I meant it really as a complement to a part of yourself that has the strength to no give up. I am not a skilled writer so forgive my inability to communicate exactly what I meant in the way I meant it. What I was saying is that part of you really wants to live otherwise you would have pulled it off. So far I have not had a desire to kill myself but I have also been letting my own health go. As I said I hope you are getting the help you need right now. My depression is just situational depression according to my doctor.
Really? Okay I am no fan of Geenpeace at all. I do not think their tactics and often their goals are correct. However... EDF is a heavily regulated utility company that is responsible for the running of nuclear facilites. They should without a doubt be held to an extremely high standard when it comes to following laws and regulations. Greenpeace is a bunch of hippies that think they are doing good. Just as their is no room for Police officers and the military to be allowed to commit institutional acts of civil disobedience there can be no room for EDF to do the same. Plus I am sure that Greenpeace members have spent the night in jail in the past and will again.
The Xeon has gotten much better but I will bet that a lot of those systems use smaller SMP nodes coupled with Infinityband or some custom interconnect as their structure where the AMD systems use larger NUMA Clusters linked with Infinityband or some custom interconnect. That is just my guess of course.
I think that is the key. From what I hear and I maybe totally wrong about this, it costs a good bit of money to join GEMA. That means that small independent artists are less likely to pay to join so they get nothing.
Actually I would say history shows that property rights are a requisite for a functional society. Many groups have tried to abandon the idea of ownership and none have been successful that I have seen.
There was a time when Supercomputer meant Cray. I remember seeing pictures of Crays when I was a kid and saying. "That is what a computer should look like".
You really didn't want to commit suicide or you would have. Truth is that it is easy to commit a successful suicide. That being said I hope you are now getting some help. Depression is a terrible thing and can effect anyone. I am dealing with it now over the death of my mother.
If it had worked really well on mobile than it would have been a big advantage and would have killed the platforms that didn't support it. It failed to do that so it do the adapt or die you wanted. In this case it died. You got your wish.
AMD has held an advantage in systems with more than 4 sockets for a while. You just don't see that many Intel x86 based systems with a dozen or more sockets. Itantium tends to be used on those systems.
This could be really useful for navigation inside a building. You could position transponders like this in say a mall or warehouse store and integrate it into a app. Need to find the nearest restroom? Need to find Bed Bath and Beyond. Where can I buy spray paint? It would have to use sounds outside of human hearing to not drive people nuts but it could be very cool.
I guess they need to fix that line because in the title they say Linux, BSD... Probably has some Solaris in their as well to be honest. Yep they need to fixt that.
Actually Lithium was a bad choice. Lithium in that kind of an environment would probably under go fission into Tritium and Helium like what happens in Hydrogen bombs. Maybe Boron would have been a better choice.
Because that will take a few years to do.

Yea and Clinton signed the DMCA and President Obama allowed the Comcast NBC merger.... Stop being partisan.

For a NAS you could also get this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131732 it is cheaper than the Supermicro but only has one NIC.

"good, cheap, low-power Mini-ITX"
Do you want it to come with a pony? Good and cheap are usually mutually exclusive when it comes to new hardware.
Here is one with 6 SATA ports http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182233 but it is $199 and comes with two NICs which is great for servers.
Or you can get this one for only $139 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131732
Also six ports but only a single NIC and probably uses more power but is also faster.
A lot of ITX stuff is used in industry.

Well there is a scholarly reference work for you. Really?
