    Pascal was/is a much better language than Fortran or Cobol.
    I would be shocked if it completely died out.
    The one I wonder about is Java. It has sort of replaced Cobol as the language that you use to write programs that no one ever sees but will it keep that place now that Oracle bought it. I know that it is the language of choice for Android and that IBM and other people have their own JVMs but will Oracles lawyers kill it.

    ummm...
    Humans an apes do not have the same number of chromosomes. They can not breed. To make a combination of human and great ape you would need to do a lot of genetic engineering.
    It would take a lot more than a fertility specialist to pull that off.

    Ahh their is the rub I want a cheap phone to play with. Maybe even to put Ubuntu or some other Linux on.
    I actually have a Galaxy Nexus that I can use for stuff like this but it is the CDMA version so I can not just pop in a SIM if I want cell data.
    A $35 phone that is hackable would just be too cool.

    Sounds like the hardware is far less of an issue than the OS in this case.
    If you are running on a Unix than a port to Linux might be a good solution it might just be a recompile.
    If you are VMS than I believe that you can still get VMS on X86 today. Wait no it looks like it is only for Itanium.
    Actually running it on a emulation system might not be such a bad idea after all.

    send a strongly worded email with the links to your congress people;
    Else
    Add this to your list of strongly worded emails sent to your congress person about comcast;

    Add "please oppose the comcast merger".

    This is an election year.

    No but I am not a big time runner. I just used it to keep track of my steps and frankly this phone has a built in app that does that also.
    If I could get all the Google Apps and the bluetooth got fixed I would be tempted to keep this phone. I really like the Google ecosystem and will probably stay with it.
    Now if I was just getting a smartphone and wanted cheap and LTE I can not think of a better value than the 635 right now

    I do not know about the supper low end phones that Nokiasoft are making but I did get the 635 as temp phone while I am waiting for the new Nexus.
    Guess what? For $129 off contract it is a very good phone.
    I have LTE, very good battery life, and Windows Phone does not suck.
    What I dislike is.
    No Google Hangouts app.
    No runkeeper app
    No flash for the camera
    The Bluetooth does not work with the cheap bluetooth adaptor I got for my car which works fine for my old android phone, my wifes S3, my Nexus 7, and my wifes iPad.
    Part of it might be the fact that I got the phone to leave Sprint because I had terrible service in my very large town in south florida. I am talking speeds of well under 0.1 m a second at locations on US-1 near the mall, and I-95 near a major shopping area.

    People should not even kid about getting a hitman or physical violence online.
    It does not help make things better.

    Reply: No and here is the reason why.

    In a world where "civil has descended to the Jr. High level.
    Statment: You morons are doing it wrong.
    Reply: You're an idiot.

    In a world that is terribly out of control.
    Reply: A threat of violence and or sexual assault.

    That is never justified. And frankly that is what is happening here.

    While a bit dogmatic I would say that nuclear and solar and wind could an energy rich future. It will take adding nuclear to the mix but it is possible.

    As someone that lives in Florida I can say that I find them no joke. The Hurricane models are pretty good for path. Strenght is getting better but still not as good. Of course if you are dumb and look at the line and not the cone that is your problem.
    Back when I was a kid a very long time ago they really didn't work at all. Back 20 years ago they where not all that great to be honest. Today they are good enough to give you a solid 3 day warning for the cone.

    I did not realise they waited so long but it is still not too much to worry about.
    The EU has an excellent medical system and I assume vaccinations are very common.
    It is October so I doubt that anyone is going swiming in that river.
    The water treatment system should handle the virus so it does not get into the drinking water.

    Yes it is a terrible illness but with all the safeguards there is a very high chance that no one will be infected.

    You may be correct but your source reference is terrible.
    The website you offer has few reference to papers.
    The author does not seem to have any real academic background one Graham Wayne.

    And the author of the article he is attacking is someone with massive academic credentials in the sciences, one Freeman Dyson.

    So even if you are correct and I think you are your supporting documentation aka the links to that site are worthless.

    The funny part of your comment is this.

    If the rule is anyone can use any name they want then fine. Maybe I do not want my name to be used on Facebook because I do not like. Maybe everyone knows me as a nickname like Slim.
    This is not even about justice it is simply a rule.
    I feel it is unjust to give special rights to a group that wants to use a different name than other groups that want to use a different name.
