Evolution has one of the most complete IMAP implementations in a mail client, especially an open source one. Evolution also supports iMIP and iTIP scheduling.
The problem with the Outlook files is that they are in a proprietry database format, and the only way to access the data stored in them is via mapi.dll. The same with Exchanges messaging, the over the wire protocol is proprietry.
I'd just like to point out that GNOME and Mono are not linked (insomuch as Mono is not part of GNOME[*]), so your assertion that GNOME is being sidetracked by Mono is false.
[*] GNOME is planned to be used in Mono, but that does not make Mono part of the GNOME project.
Surely only the superuser can set up a chroot, meaning that it can't be used either, unless you're going to setuid 0 the binary etc (and that's probably not a good thing).
I'm quite possibly wrong, so an enlightened answer pointing out why would be nice:)
Looking at the stats on connect the amount of songs on it seems to be around 200gig. (Low during my 2 week incredibly unscientific survey(*) was 145, high was 250). Having fallen from the heights when there was over a TB on it, I think Napster is dying. Possibly because of other networks that are unencumbered by legal suits (OpenNap networks etc), or other networks that do the same as Napster plus more (MusicCity.com's Morpheus software).
Oh well, I won't be sad to see it go.
(* Survey conducted by connecting every so often over the period and looking at the number of songs on it. I know, incredibly accurate)
wow, isn't that a handy coincidence. And isn't it a coincidence that she wasn't called Aimee until she became "The Aimster Girl". Aimee was only her second name.
The reason given for why a VFS isn't in libc (which is where it would go as opposed to in the kernel) is that there's too many different things that can go wrong when you open a remote file as opposed to a local one.
Akamai doesn't permit you to give out Akamai addresses, so the mirrors file has to be on the ximian.com servers. I know you can get the akamaized addresses, but its one of their rules.
UK counter culture comedian MArk Thomas did a show on CCTV, and he discovered that the Data Protection Act means that you (the public) can demand by law any CCTV footage that contains you. And if the company or council or whoever has the CCTV camera doesn't, you can report them and they get in trouble. It doesn't mean very much, but it does mean that the company has to go through the hassle of checking all their CCTV footage to make sure that you're not on it, or they get a large fine.
On the show he took a bunch of morris dancers to the town that has the most CCTV cameras per capita, and made them dance in front of the cameras for a few hours. Then he sent the council his 10pounds (thats the charge for this "service") and a letter and some photos of the morris dancers and asked for the copies of any footage. The council replied that they couldn't identify anyone in the videos, so he filed a complaint, and I think they got fined (but I don't remember).
He also had a competition running for whoever could make the best movie/short film only using footage from these CCTV cameras.
point a) Anything with Caps at the start, like Bonobo_Unknown_queryInterface, is a CORBA call. It takes a CORBA_Object as the first arg and will take a CORBA_Environment as the final one. bonobo_object_query_interface is a C/GTK+ wrapper around these corba calls so that the average programmer doesn't need to bother about all the CORBA_Environment shit. Plus the c/GTK+ wrappers take care of all the refcounting/when to destroy objects/POAs etc. CORBA_Object_is_equivalent is a CORBA spec function that is not in Bonobo and is outside Bonobos reach. It is part of ORBit the ORB that GNOME uses.
b) thats what the CORBA spec defines them to be, and again is outside Bonobo's control. Yeah, I think they look ugly as hell, but thats what the spec says.
Makes me want to sink my movie buying dollars back into VHS.
But you won't.
The simplest way, is to vote with your feet. You don't want macrovision stuff, don't buy it. You don't want region encoded DVDs, don't buy them...Just don't whine that you can't see what you want, the way you want to. If enough people care, then it'll fail, if no-one really gives a shit, then it'll succeed. But if people care, but don't stop buying stuff, then it'll succeed, and you'll be fucked.

Actually, it is feature frozen.
Silly Miggy

I dunno, I've not yet bought a CD in the US for more than 10-12$ unless it was a Jap import which can go up to 30$
And Scrapheap Challenge is a glamed up version of The Great Eggrace. That was a lovely show :)

Man, I'm glad I've got you to point out the funny bit. I was lost till that point.

Nope, 2001 was fairly dull. What 30minutes of strange light effects does not a good movie make

Evolution is compatible with exchange if Exchange is using LDAP and IMAP. If it's using the Microsoft protocols then it's not.

I wasn't so much frightened by that, but more how the overall aim was just for sex...
The stonecutters.
GTK+ supports this, just because GIMP doesn't use it, isn't a failing of the toolkit.
Are you not allowed to reproduce certain portions of text as fair use? Or was it -1 Offtopic? Or does the DMCA totally remove fair use?
No, the spelling was correct. That's is a contraction of "That is", so "That is news" becomes "That's news".
And no, it looks sucky with bold.
Yeah, the prior art for the one button start of a car is far easier to find...60s Batman series. It even had that great "One-click car alarm" too.
Thats fairly simple...everything is copyrighted unless stated otherwise.
Situation a). Probably do the same as the RIAA: Submit your songs to Napster and ask them to be removed/blocked.
Situation b). Tough tits. They signed with RIAA, they don't own the copyright on their songs, the RIAA does and the RIAA doesn't want them on Napster.
then live with it and don't complain.

Yeah, thats why all the copyright notices don't meantion KDE...
