I've had quite the opposite experience. I've had a whole lot less problems live-booting mint than live-booting ubuntu. Much faster too. But maybe it's just me. Ubuntu worked on 50% of the hardware i tried it on, whereas mint booted without a hitch. MATE desktop is also the perfect choice instead of the utter lack of features of xfce and the bloatedness (is that even a word?) of unity.
Mass civil disobedience (followed by public outrage hopefully) could be the answer, even in this case? Am i simply being delusional if i hope corporations could do that?
CIA, NSA, FBI etc will gradually lose interest in the general populace and, in the name of self-defense, gradually shift their investigative efforts onto themselves until they'll implode in a singularity of paranoia.
Oh yeah... nevermind the globe-spanning, decades old, usa-led neoliberalist poison which is fucking the whole world up.
AC, please, He's just living different.

Mint would have been better.
At a certain degree of 'verifiedness' something becomes a fact. It is very subjective, of course.

Of course you have to but no, an app is not a threat.

They've simply mentioned it en passant, you're not supposed to notice, let alone complain about it.
I tend to agree but... is somebody actually looking at the source and auditing the important bits?

Someone has to change that planet's name ASAP.
