They weren't very fond of the Chinese government, which is why they didn't want to live in China any more. I used to think that a lot of Chinese people were like that. Then I read recently that a Western news agency did a survey in China and they found overwhelmingly that while Chinese people didn't think their government was perfect and they thought that there were some important things that they still needed to do, basically everything was negotiable and they were willing to give it up in terms of personal freedom if they kept making good money.

That applies to literally every government, doesn't it?

Then they can pay for it themselves and stop forcing me to pay taxes for it. So SpaceX gets my approval assuming they don't use government grants and contracts to pay for their endeavor. NASA gets my disapproval.

And that's what sets Christianity apart from other religions (especially Buddhism in this case). Ephesians 2:8-9:

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

And the rise of Web Applications, allowing a much smoother transition.

A smoother transition from what to what?

But these OS's designed for mobile, will only get us in trouble once mobile devices are on par with our desktop systems.

The cops in America don't literally, like superman, step in front of thieves just as they're breaking into a house and literally stop them.

The reason shitholes like Brazil and Africa have such insane problems with crime and violence is because the people there either allow it ("meh, not my problem... this time..."), can't prevent it themselves (i.e. because they have no second amendment), or are themselves thieves/murderers who are in turn robbed/killed.
