Isolate out the caffiene genes, and start adding it to other plants. There are times I'm eating breakfast, and I'm thinking "Why am I only getting caffiene from the coffee? Buzz up them hashbrowns! Perk up that toast! If we can introduce it into animals, think about caffinated eggs, or butter, or cheese. We can finally jitter up the world.
I think the issue is that security isn't pretty, and Apple wants pretty. Look at the two-factor authentication. Having to wait until a PIN is sent to you before you can access whatever? That isn't elegant at all (from Apple's POV. It removes the one click convenience.). Personally, I'd rather have the security, but I'm a geek, like most people on Slashdot.
Of course this is going to piss off the old school players, but then again they ar eproblably still playing the original versions off of their own servers. Then again, how many new players are going to be interested in playing quake? It's been years since it was relevant.
The best revenge I heard was someone spinning up a VM of Windows 7, and having 2 folders on it: Personal, and Finances. The Finance folder was full of infected files, while Personal had some very nasty porn. Then he let the scammers get access to the VM, and watched them donwload the files.
In that case, you should have the phone forward calls to the personal phone. If a company is paying for you to have a phone, you should have it, except at times where it makes sense you wouldn't (like on vacation).
I carry two phones, my personal phone, and one supplied by my company. Yes, it can be a pain, but I prefer having my personal contacts/info seperate from my work device. Also, I can shut down my work phone when I'm on vacation, and still have my personal calls for my own email/calls/etc. It helps me maintain a work life balance.
Too bad it's so inaccurate. My wife works for John Deere. Their combines now have GPS in them, and will do crop analysis while harvesting. I tihnk the only thing keeping them from being fully automated is the farmers themselves.
Sounds like the data center of the future, circa 1975. I wouldn't mind working in it though, but I wonder how they control humidity. Lack of cooling may work well in their area, but I see problems in hotter/ more humid places.
Better than not seieng a Doctor at all, but I doubt I would go for this situation. For one thing, there are the security issues. Is the conference encrypted? Is it being stored? How doe sthis mesh with HIPPA? I'll keep going to the office.
If WIFI is free, everyone will use it, clogging up the pipes. If there's a charge, less people will be on, making more BW available for those who shell out the cash. I also hope that the hotels that charge use the money to miantain the infrastructure, but that's wishful thinking on my part.
I'm a network (Cisco) guy, so Cisco Live! is my go-to conference. YMMV. DEFCON sounds like the most fun to attend, as long as you keep your gear powered off.
Anything that makes check-in faster. If I made a reservation for the room, the hotel already has my info in the system. Being able to finalize my checkin with a few swipes of my phone instead of waiting for a person to become available sounds good to me. My biggest concern is the hotel having a secure enough app (and infrastructure) to make it hard for people to crack the system and/or spoof my room key.
Yes, there should be firewalls (Not sure if client side is needed, depends on the AV used on the devices. There is AV, right?). However, with you being a contractor who is not responsible for this aspect of the design, and you notfied your client of the issue, and they told you to back off, its no longer your problem. Depending on how involved you are with the project, you may want a written document specifying that you mentioned your concerns about this, and they decided to not follow your suggestions, simply as a CYA manuver.
I agree. This isn't very appealing to me (already a PS+ member, and I did jump on welcome back program).
I still don't trust Sony. I don't have any cc info with my account. Pre-paid cards makes life easier for the paranoid, like me.
With Cannons. At least the nature documentaries will be more interesting. Maybe combine it with pumpkin chunking...

If it was just DNS, I'll be a bit dissapointed. With stuff like "Internet Backbone" I'm hoping for some major BGP messup.

My previous job did, but I was doing a lot of late-night support/on-call work. Seemed fair to me.

If the parents can't afford the service now, why do you tihnk they can in 6 months? Seems petty and short-sighted to me.

TIVO needs to do more partnerships. I love their DVR for DirectTV (DirectTIVO). Now if they did this with other vendors, they would be sitting pretty.

I just wish it was the RIAA. Then it would be an epic fight.
You still need a 90% to pass. At least you no longer have folks clamoring for the top score.
You are assuming he used a credit card to buy the gift card.

Come on people, it's 2014, not the 90s. Why is this stuff still happening?
Kind of open, I guess?
I love to hear it when places actually stand up for due process.
