    US food production can already handle more than 50%: food supply per capita per day (net imports and exports) is 3900 calories, consumption per capita per day is 2500 calories.

    If you got to make the cool decisions about what work to do and didn't have to stuff that sucks like handle bad performers and did have to take the smack talk dished out about managers, why would you become a manager?

    In _The Mythical Man Month_ Fred Brooks suggests that management track be paid less than the technical track of the same notional level to counteract the perceived status of being "the boss". Clearly we need to go the other way and pay the management track more to overcome the stigma of being "pointy-haired".

    I predominately do logic and circuit design by schematic capture. On the other hand, I do layout via text scripting.

    As long as you only interrogate your friends and family, i.e. "a substantial number of persons outside of a normal circle of a family and its social acquaintances is gathered".

    This is also why you cannot play music at your workplace without a performance license, even if there are no outside customers.

    The reviewer did not say that jQuery was a hack. The review said that using jQuery to avoid using their predefined interface was a hack.

    Whether that interface is so bad that you are driven to use a workaround to get anything done I cannot say. However, you will get nowhere if you argue against an imagined response.
