just reminds me of the black knight from quest for the holy grail who refuses to admit defeat until finally admitting a draw when he's a quadriplegic.
You need to watch the movie again. The Black Night wants to continue the fight ("I'll bite yer legs off!") and it is Arthur that says to call it a draw and walks around him.
He haHe had already asked 3 questions... Kerry was just talking about those. Kerry was trying to calm the crowd at best... not doing anything to rectify an injustice going on in front of his face.
There is a LARGE difference between "I'll answer his question" and "Please let him stay until he has his answer"
The first is an automatic response to any tough/strange/stupid question made to a politician. The second is stating his disapproval for the situation.
Not so large as you imply. The only way Kerry can hear the guys question is by having him up at the podium with the microphone on. So by saying he would answer his question he is implying that the cops should let him ask it.
Kerry just went down 200 notches in my mind by not calling those cops out for what they did right then and there.
RTFA. Kerry wanted the guy to ask his question so that he could answer it. He specifically "I will answer his question" to the crowd and the police while the police were pulling him away.
How very strange! Here I've been going around thinking that what scientists were doing was wishful thinking. For example, "I sure hope the Scientific Method is a valid technique to verify what the universe really is, or all our work will come tumbling down around our ears" or "I sure hope modus ponens ponens never yields a contradiction," or "I sure hope the next study doesn't suggest that eating eggs is good for you." I've seen several attempts by scientists to verify the Scientific Method, but all of them use the Scientific method, which only stands for the unremarkable proposition that the Scientific Method is valid provided that the Scientific Method is valid. Now don't let me be one to deny your faith. I'm perfectly willing to allow you to use the Scientific Method to verify the Scientific method, but, in fairness, I think I should require you to allow me to use the Bible to verify the Bible.
I've actually done some experiments using Faith Vs Using Scientific Method. I'll demonstrate how they worked out for me.
First, I wanted to separate water molecules (H2O) into their base atoms (Hydrogen and Oxygen). In the scientific method corner, I setup a electrolysis machine, which I used to fill 2 test tubes, one with hydrogen, one with oxygen. The hydrogen tube had twice the volume of gas as the oxygen tube when I was completed.
The faith experiment, I put a bottle of aquafina water next to 2 test tubes and said a prayer. I'm not yet done with this experiment, as I have as of yet not been able to detect any water missing from the aquafina bottle, and the times I have opened the hydrogen test tube was unable to find any trace of hydrogen.
I do have faith that I will succeed though, and posts such as yours reinforce that my efforts are not being wasted.
Do you think if I were to burn a bible and boil water, then convert that boiled water into mechanical energy which spins a magnet inside a coil of wire and hook that up to an electroysis machine I would have better results than praying, sometimes I'm not sure the right way to use my faith!
As a level 70 warlock, I can solo the vast majority of the dreadsteed quest now, with one part where I need a tank (The final fight). At level 60, I completed the quest in less than 1 week. (Vllargh -- Dragonblight) Also, the gold required was less than purchasing an epic mount from a vender.
Well, they said the quest was on par with the original warlock epic quest. That quest was a 5 man group sequence at it's hardest, and you could solo about 90% of it.

WMD == Weapons of Mass Destruction or Weapon of Mass Destruction.
WsMD == Weapons of Super Mass Destruction?
The "s" in Weapons is not an "initial" letter of Weapons, it is the ending letter.
Yes, this also means that Calvin's club "GROSS" (Get Rid Of Slimey girlS) isn't a true acronym either.
Personally if I was him I would just withdraw my project all totally, there is nothing to gain from being sued by Microsoft aside from some personal ego...
Except that he wants to sell his product, and withdrawing it would presumably cause some financial hardship.
Yes, I know how the story turns out, but if I were to go into the whole spiel about it, then try to fit it into a joke format, I would end up with an onion article instead of a potentially witty one liner!
Godly Plate of the Whale certainly existed in the game. Single player you would find it all the time, battle.net you would find it extremely RARELY, but all you needed was -1-, and you're set.
I personally found a Staff of the Apocolypse with 3 charges. Once you have that, you can dupe it up and pretty much just clear every level by casting 3 times, then portaling and repairing it.
Once people got item editors which allowed you to change the amount of charges to 99, it was even more useful.

This is exactly true. And is why DVD will be around until either HDDVD or BluRay is down to the $100 range for players.
I got my 37" LCD HDTV for $570. Paying that again for an HD player is too much at this time. This can't be as uncommon as you think!

Your proof is?

Actually, that space fighter sim sounds good. Of course, I've been looking for a good Space Combat fighter ever since WC:P and Freespace 2.

I'm just surprised that George Lucas hasn't filed a suit yet! ;-)
Why is that? LucasFilms encourages little films like this.
Almost posted this as an AC, but oh well.
The power comes from an Matter/Antimatter annihilation. The crystals just regulate the reaction.
Its still non profit; the proceeds from the kids sold by the ARC go to disaster relief funds.
As a parent I'm torn between feelings of outrage and a strange compulsion to donate my own children to the red cross...

I kind of wish they will make it harder.
Did Windows 98 do this for the transition from FAT16 to FAT32?
The Transistion from FAT16 to FAT32 wasn't a windows 98 transistion, it was a windows 95 transistion.
So your question should be: Did Windows 95 do this?
The Answer is: Yes. In order to get FAT32 you needed to buy Windows 95 OSRc.
Windows 98 had fat32 support by default.
off topic, but wouldn't WsMD be OK too?
No.

Well, to be fair, we never ever saw any demo of Duke Nukem Forever. Or any footage at all. Not even a screen shot.
Or am I wrong on this? Is there any DNF screenshots or footage out there?
3drealms has released screenshots of DnF here.
The games are getting more work like everyday and I gave up playing them for three years.
See, I'm considering going the other route, I'll give up work for 3 years! It's much more dangerous to my mental health than some petty WoW playing!

Hey grandpa, how was slashdot on 300 baud? When I started we were all the way to 28800, about to switch to K56flex!

Worked for King Solomon! Just split Microsoft in half, Applications apart from OS and we're all set!
just buy it from nintendo.com. I got mine very shortly after getting my Wii.
Yes, I found a set in single player.
