    One guy here says "If I do more, I will
    be expected to do more".

    How many of you know people that see a
    computer as a status symbol? Like that
    jerk down the hall that has the cool new
    PIII 500 and not a clue. While you can make
    a pile of junk do the work of 3 people.

    7 countries

    serious front page news

    July 9th: story about "captured flying saucer"
    is really just a weather balloon.
    Weather balloon was flown to Ft. Worth and
    on to Wright Field, Ohio.

    July 10th on: no more front page stories
    stories become jokes and slowly fade away.

    Only lasted a few weeks.

    You should read old papers anyway, check out
    prices and "latest" movies playing.

    Find a library that has the New York
    Times on microfilm. Read the front pages
    from June 1947 to August 1947. Get a feel
    for the coverage of the UFO "flap" that
    lead to the "Roswell Story".

    Oh, after July 9th you have to look past the
    front page to find the stories. Sorry.

    Who else out there had a copy of
    Turbo Pascal running on an Osborne
    back 1985?

    A dig at Ole' Bill.
    Back in 85 I was trying to use Microsoft
    Pascal on a TIPC (tibm). Took 15-20 mins. to
    compile.

    I got me a copy Turbo Pascal, my compile time
    dropped to 20 seconds. I fell in love.
